It was great seeing and hearing Ibrox in such fine voice again..whether they like it or not, scottish football is in dire need of rangers winning promotion this year...all of celtics title wins over the last few years should have an asterix put by them - to mark a hollow achievement

Agree, Scottish football needs Rangers to be in the top flight. Crowds have been down in the top flight. Will be great to see the 'Gers back in the top flight. Hope to get to Ibrox in the spring. Just need to check when we're at home. Some of the people I go to Chelsea games with have asked me to arrange a trip to Ibrox.

Great pictures, Scott. Another fine result yesterday and with Falkirk and Hibs drawing today, the 'Gers have a five point gap. Looking good for Rangers.

MARK WARBURTON has taken his Rangers squad into cyberspace to help their push for the top flight.

The Ibrox manager has always been a stickler for details and stats since his days as a city trader.

Now he’s passing that on to his players by giving them each their own personal website to work on every last aspect of their game from their armchair, not just on the training ground.

And he insists he expects them all to match his day-and-night desire to improve.

As he prepared his squad for tomorrow night’s match-up with Morton, he said: “We do a LOT of analysis.

“Every day. Right now while I’m talking, David Weir and Jim Stewart are upstairs
going through aspects of play with our defenders and keepers.

“We’ll talk about final third, what we can do to be better, teams will sit men behind the ball, how do we break them down, what works well.

“People said we had a blip but that was us trying to find solutions to eight, nine, 10 men behind the ball – as well as the work on the grass, we did our analysis and the
last four performances have been really pleasing.

“But it doesn’t stop here. They all have their own personal website set up that they can go into, look at all of their
performances, touches, future opponents, their strengths and weaknesses.

“It’s all part of preparing for the next game so every player has access to that.”

Asked whether it was mandatory and their swotting was monitored, Warburton said: “The standards you set are as a group – it’s not just for the players, it’s for the staff as well.

“Normally, if we finish on a Saturday, we watch the game that evening then watch it again first thing on Sunday morning.

“The analysis is prepared by Sunday lunchtime to deliver to the players so you expect the staff to do that as well.

“The players have been first-class. They are embracing it, they are hungry and they want success. They know what the club has to do and they have bought into that. You can’t give them enough credit.”

Rangers’ status as the highest scorers in the British leagues is testimony to their strategy, he believes – but he also insists they’ll always leave room for players to work off the cuff rather than be slaves to the stats.

He said: “Of course there’s freedom. We’re not saying ‘You will do this when you get to this area of the park’. We’re saying ‘These are the problems we encounter’.

“You can’t ask players to be robots but you can turn around and say when we played against them last time they tend to favour going up the right side or favour playing to the centre-half or kicking long to the wide full-back.

“Our job is to counter it and then hurt them. We’ve always wanted to be positive though.”

Warburton for Chelsea anyone??

Well they didn't lose, despite one of the worst red cards I have ever seen...rangers player Andy Halliday celebrates their second goal, with one fist raised from middle of pitch toward Morton fans and he's shown a second yellow for inciting fans...totally ridiculous

I was in the cowshed. He shouted something towards he fans too but couldn't hear it. There is no way the linesman heard it either though but if he did, he should clarify what was said.

RANGERS 1 - 0 FALKIRK

That was a tough game! - got there in the end though. :blue scalf:

Just seen the goal. A great header. Good gap now between the 'Gers and Hibs and Falkirk. Game at Hibs on 5 March will be a key one.

Not a big fan of Rangers like many Chelsea fans, but am glad to see them beat Falkirk and stay on course for automatic promotion. It would be nice to see them regain some of their lost glory.

Another win for the 'Gers last night. Eight point gap over Hibs now although Hibs have a game in hand. Looking good for Rangers.

Another good result yesterday. A nice 8 point gap between the 'Gers and Hibs. Were due to play at Hibs on 7 March but that game has been postponed due to Rangers game in the Scottish Cup. Read that it may be played on 19 or 20 April. Hopefully the title will have been won by then. If not, would be nice to win it at Hibs.

Another great night for the 'Gers. 14 points clear with nine games to play. Only 14 points needed and promoted. Could be a great party.

Hibs seem to have imploded. The Gers next 5 league games:

Home to Morton

Away to Falkirk

Home to QoS

Away to Raith

Home to Dumbarton

doesn't exactly look like mission impossible does it?

Should win all five of those games. I see that the game against Dumbarton is on a Tuesday evening. May be a few people off work on Wednesday with sore heads and hangovers.
