Of course he does.  Russians have a very good appetite for decent booze.  One of the best parties I have ever been to was with a bunch of Russians drinking proper Russian vodka - phew that was quite a night!

A wee splash of water (literally just a little) actually breaks up the molecules of the Whisky and releases the flavour.  So, it's not too bad to add a splash

I had a glass of Laphroaig whiskey a few weeks ago, its some seriously strong stuff.

A guy from work was drinking it and got me to try one. I had it warm. The smell is horrendous, it's like a floor cleaner. The taste is much better, Earthy peaty taste.....but probably never again!

Yes, a seriously strong whisky. Has got a kick to it. Probably the most peaty of the Islay whiskies. Of the Islay whiskies, Caol Ila and Bruichladdich are smoother. I was told that the locals tend to drink Bruichladdich, I've a unopened bottle of cask strength Laphroaig at home. Come the winter will open it up. On the subject of Istay whiskies here's are a couple of good websites.

Laphroaig is heaven in a glass!  I am thinking of employing a private detective to track down Boyne, so I can go and share his bottle with him!

Here is a fine pub. Whisky heaven! Not far from Glasgow Central Station. Hundreds of whiskies. Last time I was in there it took about ten minutes to choose a whisky - the choice is that vast.

At cask strength without a doubt. I have mostly seen in Europe the 40% watered down version though.

Can't believe I got Talisker wrong. Especially as the Talisker Distillery is my avatar and I have a painting of the great place on a wall of my lounge. As a punishment I shall have a couple of glasses this evening to make sure I get the spelling right.

Question is; do I punish myself with normal strength Talisker or cask strength Talisker? Decisions, decisions.

Girl I know from Fife, is going out with a bloke from France.  She just got hired at a Michelin Star restaurant in Skye that does local sourcing (including seaweed from the shore near the restaurant, and her boyfriend got a gig as a trainee distiller at Talisker.  Pretty sweet gig

I think you need to save the cask strength for serious crimes...like misuse of apostrophes!
