October 22, 201510 yr Don't get this. Don't even know why I think I need to say this. GET BEHIND THE MANAGER. If nothing else, CFC are going to run out of options pdq. Mez
October 22, 201510 yr No I get that but what I mean is why would he even try to get sacked? Wouldn't he want to fight to get the team playing better? Dunno, something hasn't been right with him this season. The Eva thing was out of character even for him. The obsession with making endless jibes at the FA and Wenger. Bizarre team selections and the lack of substitutions to change the shape of the team when chasing a result is a bit out of character for him too. Apparently his Dad has been very unwell for about 6 months now which may be playing a part in it all. But it's been a funny old start to the season from Jose.
October 22, 201510 yr That's one of my worries we get rid of him who do we get in? And then are we just gonna do what we've done in the past. Chopping and changing etc. Right now though I'm disliking Jose the person more and more. I really wish i could get inside his head to figure out what's going on. I don't want to lose Jose again but I have go administration it would hurt a lot less this time.

Well as someone who has lost their Dad I can sympathise there. Going to see him in hospital every day until he died was the worst exprience of my life and I probably didn't act the same as I normally do.
October 22, 201510 yr Best thing Roman can do is let it play out. Give Jose the rope to pull himself (and the team) out of the mire or to indeed hang himself. Roman wants more success of course but first we hear he wants to establish us as a top side in England. Jose and Carlo did that, we are fresh off his fourth title. Then was about conquering Europe. Several semis and then Robbie's win. Build a better stadium? On the way it seems. He can afford to be patient. We would have to drop so far to be relegated, the danger is missing out on top 4. If that happens this season he should continue backing Jose, take advantage of the lacking of ffp in the summer. If next season is the same story what excuse would Jose have? Fully backed, supported and the fall from grace is not repaired? Roman comes out of it looking a more matured owner other managers would now be more willing to work with. If he acts too quickly he only further damages his already quick fire reputation.
October 22, 201510 yr According to this, in general sacking a manager does little for long-term performance as even after a short-term dip in performance, results tend to revert to the mean: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-23724517 I guess the statistics suggest that Chippy was right all along!

November 16, 201510 yr "Jose Mourinho is a very good coach, one of the best in the world. I learned a lot with him". - Willian After reading this quote from today, I couldn't resist coming back to this thread & the fail posts that Jose lost the Locker Room & the Players are not buying into his tactics. True Willian has benefited lately, but clearly the Players are not giving up despite playing against 14v11 in recent matches.
November 16, 201510 yr I have a positive feeling regarding the coming weeks...its over regarding the title ,,but as I see it 4th place is possible..i have been one who questioned if jose was the right man to steer us forward. but the club have stuck with him and I think we will now see a upturn in results ..any player power against mourinho will be fragmented and the culprits will be lepers in the dressing room...I truly believe we can go on a run up to xmas that will get us within touching distance of the top 4.....the worst is over ..the international break was a godsend...onwards and upwards for the cfc.....
November 16, 201510 yr I guess the statistics suggest that Chippy was right all along! ......apart from AVB of course. Soz chip...couldn't resist ;-)
November 20, 201510 yr I want to be wrong, but i think it's just a matter of time before his sacked. I'm pretty much going by the assumption the club believes his not going to turn it around but want to wait till the fan's turn on him before pulling the plug.
