I wouldn't exactly call that the whole confrontation. It started with a foul on Miazga in or about the penalty area (off to the side). Not a place defenders particularly like being fouled, because the consequences are so dire if the ref misses a call. Miazga turned to face him and Lainez basically walked right into his chest. Whole lot of nothing really. What was interesting, was Miazga was swearing back at him in Spanish..  #cultured ... lol . 60 seconds later, Mexico has a man sent off for an ankle breaker of a challenge. 

The only thing that really bothered me about Miazga in that exchange, was he was already on a yellow. Have to be a bit smarter than that. Overall he played well in a 1-0 US victory.
