February 1, 20169 yr you know what i like about him, is the way he goes to the ball and doesn't back off like some *cough* "cahill" *cough* which i rather that than letting the opposition run at you.Â
February 1, 20169 yr http://metro.co.uk/2016/01/30/chelsea-youth-players-appear-to-question-matt-miazga-transfer-on-instagram-5653387/ Not good.. That's plain disrespectful.
February 2, 20169 yr It's ok watching these eye candy videos, but you would learn more from a video compilation of his worst moments.
February 2, 20169 yr Theres almost as much hate in this thread than the djiboutiti thread Edited February 2, 20169 yr by DidierDrogbalala
February 2, 20169 yr It's Miazga - Mia - za- ga... (Ends like Lady Gaga) It's a Polish last name and it means pulp... Some examples of usage of this last name in a sentence (in polish language): Matt zrobil MIAZGE z Arsenalu, Miazga zmiazdzy Tottanham...
April 3, 20169 yr Thought he did pretty well in his first minutes for the club. IMO he has a very similar style and skills as Christensen. The thing I kept repeating in my head was 'this is how you play CB John Stones. No mucking about with the ball, recieve a pass and move it on.' Granted it was against Villa but I thought he handled Gestede nicely. Aside from me talking to John Stones in my head, any thoughts about his performance? Edited April 3, 20169 yr by TheChelseaBlues
April 3, 20169 yr He will have far sterner opposition ahead, but he passed this first test with flying colours in my book. Â Good luck to him.
April 3, 20169 yr I agree, I thought he did OK. We will have to see how he performs against stronger teams.
April 3, 20169 yr Played okay. His touch in my view was the only issue I saw. He wasn't really confident to play the ball first time and there were a couple of miscontrols when he was taking a touch.
April 9, 20169 yr Lovely words from Miazga about JT. Very nice to see a young player actively looking to learn from one of the legends of the game and asking questions. And of course very nice to hear that JT is so willing to mentor him. http://www.espnfc.com/chelsea/story/2846056/chelseas-matt-miazga-learning-from-captain-john-terry
April 9, 20169 yr I wasnt sure when we signed the guy if he would be up to our standard or if indeed he will make our standard but personally im not impressed so far, I think he will be off on loan from this summer and for the foreseeable future, might be abit harsh but when I look at a young player I try to look at what it is they do well rather than what they are not so good at, in miazgas case imo he has no stand out qualities that are obvious to my eye, but does have a few deficiencies that are obvious im expecting his name to go in enemalos notebook to find a loan for and to keep an eye on in the hope he improves and we can either use him or sell him for a profit, I know its only his second game but I dont see anything to build on personally, we could of saved the 4.5m and used clarke-salter instead. April 9, 20169 yr JT was always class! I don't care what other people say about him. I think some of the criticism that JT has gotten over the years is justified. He certainly has done some reprehensible things, especially in his personal life, that he probably regrets. But JT has definitely changed for the better as he's gotten older, and I think many people are stuck in the past about it. He's clearly become a great influence on the younger players and an invaluable asset to the club. Guus is a proponent of him staying, and I hope he's able to make the board see what is blatantly obvious to everyone else.

April 10, 20169 yr ...we could of saved the 4.5m and used clarke-salter instead. Â I know we shouldn't be too quick to judge, but Clarke-Salter looked very shaky last week. And that was against an already beaten Villa side.Â
April 10, 20169 yr I know we shouldn't be too quick to judge, but Clarke-Salter looked very shaky last week. And that was against an already beaten Villa side.  I wouldn't characterise the 16 minutes he was on as 'very shaky' if I'm being honest. The lad made all his passes, and I think the only thing he did wrong was allow a cross from his side. Apart from that it was a fairly assured performance.  Either way you can't expect any youngster to come in and look flawless. It just doesn't happen. They make mistakes and the ones who make it are the ones who learn from them. Miazga needs a chance to redeem himself and it's a shame he didn't get that in the second-half yesterday.  I'd be surprised if he played again this season now and that exemplifies just why we haven't developed a homegrown talent in almost 15 years.Â
