Hopefully he can learn from JT & Cahill, who are remarkably similar to Young Matt's skill set & physical attributes

Who is that secret footballer?  I've seen ti pop up now and then, but there has been nothing but speculation.  

Surely if they're talking about playing with him in NY then its a prem footballer that has pre-seasoned in the US, or a prem footballer not playing in the MLS?

At this point Im beginning to suspect TSF is multiple players writing under the guise of The Secret Footballer

Dont get the negativity around this signing,i am happy that he is going to be kept with us until the summer,from what ive seen of him he looks a huge talent,pretty good ball playing skills too,i will not be surprised if he estabilishes himself at chelsea this season,considering how thin we are at CB,very excited about him

Looks strong, quick, can pick a pass, granted its the MLS he's playing in but everyone starts somewhere. Zouma was in Ligue 1 and that's hardly the strongest league these days.

He'll be hungry to succeed with us as this could be a big break for him.

Compare the fact he's a 10th of the price of Stones and doesn't seem to want to Cruyff turn his way out of the 6 yard box, I think thIs will be a potentially great signing.

Worst case scenario is we sell for a profit.

Charlie Austin would have been available on a free in the summer too but if you stump up some cash early on you can jump the queue.

Or perhaps we want him to play a bigger role next year and have time to bed in and learn from JT & Cahill for 6 months first.

Or maybe Cahill is actually away and we need the cover.

Without knowing the going a on within the club it's hard to say, but there's definitely going to be a reason behind it.

You are being overly negative,the dude just got here,and from what i saw of him,you're selling him awfully short,he looks a top prospect and he deserves to at least be given a chance to step on the pitch before being discarded,i bet you thought that Zouma was heading for the loan army too and look how that turned out

Any new coverage for our fan base is good news though! I think we already have a strong pull in the US going by the pre seasons we have had over there in the past few years.
