That Chelsea 11 won far more than that Man U team has at the moment.  Great names on paper.  No names on silverware.

Edit:  I'm aware Carrick won the CL.  I'm referring to the team.

I feel they will win more than the Chelsea team in 12/13. They are in the finals of carling cup and should be winning it as well as the europa league.

Winning wise, I am sure Zlatan and Rooney have won their fair share of silverware.

Trophy numbers

I honestly dont think thats a fair barometer. Even if we topple united's numbers it would solely be because of 2 players: SFL and JT. Dont think any one else had won much.

They haven't won naff all yet, they could still end up with no trophies and no CL next season, and i for one would not be shocked.

Have to disagree.

SFL was 33/34 in 12/13 and in decline.

Its like if we had replaced DD with lets say Lewa/Costa/Suarez at that point of time, the number of trophies would have gone down, but I feel the quality would have gone up. SFL was STILL a first teamer in 12/13 and hardly setting the world alight. Same goes with Cole.

Dont get me wrong, I love each of those names, but if they had been moved on, after the CL win, they would not be irreplacable.

But now you're just speculating as to what would have happened if certain players stayed and certain players moved on.

In a world where we can't play them against each other in the best of 10, you have to use something they could both commonly achieve at the time.

Yeah better United sides than this have been punted out of Europe. There are still a few quality sides in the EL who would cause them problems.

A decent attacking side will seriously test them.

Also failing to take into account that Rooney, Carrick etc are nothing what they were, Herrera? Do me a favour...martial, while talented, has barely played this season...this is a classic example of the football manager generation looking at things on paper and not what's actually going on or happened...even mata, despite now scoring more goals for Utd than at chelsea now, had a bigger impact for us...he's still not a cast iron first team regular at Utd, while he was a main man for three big trophies with chelsea.

No. I am saying that the trophies of the past mean nothing to the quality of the present.

I know it's not going to be easy but we need to make push to get Sanchez. We're in London so that might be an advantage, a highly respected manager and a team about to win a league title, actually knows how to go further in Europe plus a team full of fighters and not wimps.

No idea why we didn't go for him in the first place though when we was about to leave Barcelona, surely he'd have preferred us to that lot.

A whole bloody nation wants him to leave :laugh2:

Chile fans to march against Alexis Sanchez staying at Arsenal

"Chileans are tired of watching one of our stars work alone so that their team can move forward," the description of the event said.

"We do not want him to play in Madrid, not to return to Barcelona, the truth is that we do not give a damn what team to play, we just want to see him fight along with ten others to get results. No more alone."

I understand their frustrations completely. Seems like the other 11 can't be f**king bothered. Football is proabaly a distraction from Snapchat and acting like a twat on social media. He's a world class player and deserves way better than those wimps.

The only trouble is we would have to change formation slightly, or drop Matic, or even Diego. Unless he could do a job on the right ?

If we were to get him (which I doubt) we'd probably put him on the right but didn't he make a fuss are Arsenal cause he wanted to be the striker in the middle?

Probably because there was no one better and he thought he could do a better job than giroud.

If he moves to a real BIG CLUB like chelsea or juve or PSG, no chance he gets to play through the center.

That is f**king funny :laugh2:

You know I still think there big chance to win the CL was 2004 not 2006 when they actually got to the final. We knocked them out of course that year but the way they won the league they should have added another trophy to that. That was their big chance and they blew it as they always do.

Arsenal do not deserve top four. They've been given three points too often this year through shocking refereeing calls, offside goals and penalties. Not to mention Sanchez has carried them.

They are a f**king humiliation on English football and need to stay out the CL. We've literally been the only ones making any progress in the CL over the past few years.

Chelsea, City, United, Tottenham is my choice for top four.

Sanchez will leave Arsenal and rightly so. If he's open to it I'd have him here. Unlikely but if he doesn't want to leave the city but be in a much better team where he's not the only one fighting we're as good as it gets.

Next season I want to see Chelsea, Liverpool, City and Utd in the champions league. I feel they have the team and the managers to make the premier league proud again. Don't ever wanna see Spurs in that competition ever again.

Where are these Wenger to Barcelona rumours coming from? Why on earth would they sack a man who won the treble two years ago and the double last year to hire Wenger?

Is he paying the papers to plant these ludicrous stories?

Tbf it wouldn't be a bad fit, Enrique is not well liked by the fans and if they didn't get Wenger (who would be available if he doesn't sign a new deal) they'd have to pay compensation for whoever else they wanted to poach from a club. I'd argue that's Wenger with a fresh challenge and a better team such as Barca would probably do a decent job.

Arsene Wenger is past it as a manager. He's never ever going to win a major trophy again. Barcelona will be looking at upcoming managers with fresh ideas not some 67yr old dinosaur.
