Come off it mate, we all know Carlisle have never been anywhere near the top of league 1.

After the first 3 games of 1974/75, Carlisle Utd were top of Division One for the only time in their history.😀

Granted they were relegated at the end of 1974/75…

One of those 3 games was at Stamford Bridge when they beat Chelsea 2-0. Highlights were shown on Match of the Day. It's amazing what you can remember from nearly 50 years ago.

That was the game the 'new' East Stand was opened if I recall correctly.

St Etienne beat Pau 1-0 away last Tuesday.

They went down by the same score yesterday’s at home to Amiens.

Carlisle went down 4-1 at home to Bolton yesterday.
