Anybody got a second team you support not in a top division?

Was Ilkeston Town until they liquidated, then followed Ilkeston FC after they reformed. After more financial troubles they're back as Ilkeston Town FC with Alan Hardy, the chairman of Notts County backing them this time. Old Chelsea boy Kevin Wilson was actually the manager for 6 years between '09 and '15.

Any of you got a team you support on the low? Maybe a lower division team in England or outside of England? I always keep an eye on Cordoba in the Spanish 2nd division as I really enjoyed visiting there when I was younger and I have a soft spot for Andalusia in general.

I've been to Cordoba and while walking the streets popped into a bar and started talking with one of the Cordobese watching football, who promptly got me another drink!

I often follow lower teams because of players that go to the team like JT to Villa, though this season it will be Boro with Bamford and Baker.

Limerick FC - where Bug Sam started his managerial career. Ipswich - Mick McCarthy is the manager. I also check Villa this season.

Sligo Rovers where my old man was from. And Kilkenny hurling team where my mum was from.

There's a few clubs i wish well for various reasons but i wouldn't call any my second team or say i in anyway 'support' them. Not only could i never put it in my mindset to give the support i give to Chelsea for anyone else it would be quite the conflict of interest.

I keep an eye out on results for Gosport Borough (my hometown), Portsmouth (most of my mates back home we Pompey fans, being across the harbour and all) and I keep an eye on Sutton United (before they were famous) because a guy at work goes to their games and it's something to talk about other than how sh*t Palace are!

Due to family connections, Rangers. My late Dad was born and brought up in Larkhall, probably the most ardent Rangers supporting town in Scotland. I've been to a few Rangers games over the years and two of my cousins are season ticket holders at the club.

Also keep an eye out for my local non-league team, Welling United. I try to watch Welling a couple of times a season.

I follow Cheltenham Town as that’s where I grew up and live, still go and see them from time to time; trouble is at £21 a go, it adds up for League 2 football! I also follow Lille as that’s where my French family are from, and have seen them play when I’m in France and the dates match up. However, they will always be teams I ‘follow’ rather than fully support like Chelsea.

Ah a fellow cheltonian! I also live in chelt and have followed the robins for the past 15 years! I live right by the ground now funnily enough.

Id like to see them do well but ill never love a team anywhere near as much as I Do Chelsea

Wow, what a small world! I used to live just down the road in Prestbury, and would often walk to the game. When I was a kid playing for the school team, that's when Cheltenham were doing really well with Steve Cotterill in charge, and we'd often have the players come in for our training sessions. I also have a football signed by Steve himself after I 'beat' him in a penalty shoot-out :laugh2:

As you say, I'd love to see them climb back up a league or two, but Chelsea came first because my Dad supports them too, so they always get priority!
