Anybody got a second team you support not in a top division?

My local team lost a replay in the final qualifying round, and would have had Pompey at home in the first round if they had got through.  Shame.

Well done Burton Albion.::clap2::

Into the Carabao Cup Semi Final;.::clap2::

I’m sure they’ll draw City and that’ll be the end of things.

Carshalton Athletic, Sutton Utd and Tooting and Mitcham, grew up very close to all three with Carshalton being my home town. Tooting and Mitcham now play where we used to train up until 76, about a 3 minute walk from my nan's house where I lived.

Dover Athletic, because I used to watch them occasionally when working in Dover back in the 90s.

Partick Thistle, just because of, well everything really, Red, Black and Yellow kit, nicknamed the Jags and once had a team so good they were dubbed the Maryhill Magyars, wish I could retain useful knowledge, as I'm afraid that an intimate knowledge of late 60s/early 70s, sticker albums, bubble gum cards, Shoot and garage giveaways, is never going to earn me a good living, but I chose the Jags as my Scottish team back then, so I feel duty bound to stick with them . Staying with friends of a friend in Glasgow the night before the friendly in 07 we passed the Thistle ground on the way from the airport to Possil, and I don't care how sad it made me look, I insisted that the car stop for me to get out and take a pic.

@MKBlue Sutton aren’t doing too well this season compared to last although they are just outside the play-off places and the league looks pretty tight. I think losing Deacon is a big part of it. I was thinking about going tomorrow for the first time ever.

Play-off push you reckon? Sutton have blown it, 1 win in 10.

Hope so. But you never know with Carlisle Utd . They could just as easily go on a losing streak...

Actually, which other team does that remind me of !

Tottenham/Arsenal? :blush2:

Commiserations to Ipswich Town who today were relegated to the third tier, for the first time since 1957.

It's a shock to myself, as I am old enough to remember their glory days of the mid 1970s - early 1980s.

Me too.

Supported Rangers almost as long as I've supported Chelsea, over 50 years. Even Martin King gave me a mention in his latest book, Hoolifan 2, saying I was the first person he ever saw wearing a Rangers scarf in the Shed, must have been about 1971 or 1972 ?

As a kid I'd go to see Fulham when Chelsea were away in the late 60's, always had a soft spot for them and loved their ground - so close to the pitch as opposed to the bridge back then. Gone off them since their fans seem to regard us as their rivals ???

Other teams I like and look out for their results are Wimbledon, Plymouth, Hearts and Dundee.

It’s pronounced MK Dons nowadays ?

Went to Fulham a lot mid 70s as a kid when it was seen as a safer environment than ours. At ten I thought it was a right old mans club- not much in the way of singing or atmosphere- the Hammersmith End was a big covered end and with the right fans in there it could have been a cauldron.

Look out for AFC Wimbledon and Sutton Utd, plus Sheffield Utd; a mate played for them in the 90’s and had many a good night up there.

Good to see you back, mate
