Supported Rangers almost as long as I've supported Chelsea, over 50 years. Even Martin King gave me a mention in his latest book, Hoolifan 2, saying I was the first person he ever saw wearing a Rangers scarf in the Shed, must have been about 1971 or 1972 ?

As a kid I'd go to see Fulham when Chelsea were away in the late 60's, always had a soft spot for them and loved their ground - so close to the pitch as opposed to the bridge back then. Gone off them since their fans seem to regard us as their rivals ???

Other teams I like and look out for their results are Wimbledon, Plymouth, Hearts and Dundee.

Coming from a Rangers supporting family on my Dad's side I've always had a soft soft for Scotland's finest. Two of my cousins are ST holders at Ibrox. They live in Larkhall which is probably the most ardent Rangers supporting town in Scotland. I could tell some great stories about the place. I've been to Ibrox a few times over the years. A great stadium. Was there in 2007 for the Rangers v Chelsea pre-season friendly. The atmosphere was brilliant.

Also try and go to my local non-league side, Welling United a couple of times a season. A great little ground. It's great to see the ball being kicked over the fence into the main road outside and see it bouncing off cars. Must give the drivers a shock.

In the US, my local (not anymore since I don't live there, but I grew up there) is Sporting Kansas City. Typically been a pretty good team but they are struggling this year after reaching CONCACAF Champions League Semifinal in April/May

Shrewsbury beat promotion favourites Portsmouth 1-0.  Pompey had good possession but I can't remember much goal threat, until the last few minutes when I was sure they'd equalise.

In other news, real ale in the ground has gone up by 20p and is now £3.50 a pint - scandalous!

At least you can real ale in the ground. Alcohol on sale is banned in football stadiums in Scotland, certainly at the top division level anyway.

What no hospitality ? or just no alcohol ?

I didn't know that! Shocking! We are lucky to be able to buy real ale. And at such a reasonable price. But you would think with a 15 minute window to sell it at half time they would learn to pre-pour a load to make service quicker'

Oh no, plenty of alcohol available in hospitality. You just can't purchase it to drink anywhere else.

Or bring alcohol into the ground.

Carlisle Utd are back 'on the crest of a slump' !

They lost 2-0 to Cheltenham Town away last night in their League Two match. This after losing 2-0 to Mansfield Town at home on Saturday.

Clyde boss Danny Lennon, 50, helps beat Celtic colts !

Great story.

Clyde manager Danny Lennon says he will "negotiate a contract in the mirror with himself" after making a cameo appearance in his side's win over a Celtic colts team on Tuesday.

The 50-year-old, who retired 11 years ago, brought himself on during the second-half at Broadwood as his side earned a 3-1 Glasgow Cup victory.

Lennon says his involvement was forced because of injuries.

"I still have the physicality and the health to grace the pitch," he said.

"I felt that I handled it no problem. I look after myself. I'm in the gym everyday - sometimes twice - and I think it's just a bit of mind over matter.

"I'd do it again if called upon but I'm hoping not as that would tell me I'm getting a good squad of healthy players back. I'm actually going to go and look and negotiate a contract in the mirror with myself."

Word of Lennon's involvement against a Celtic side including the likes of summer signing Luca Connell, Armstrong Okoflex and Jack Aitchison spread quickly.

I do hope Bury FC survive.

Bury FC nearing English Football League expulsion deadline

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49434347

Bury Football Club has until 23:59 BST on Friday to avoid being expelled from the English Football League.

The EFL has requested evidence that the Shakers can pay off creditors and have the necessary funding to make it through the League One season.

They have yet to play a first-team match in 2019-20 after having each of their first six fixtures suspended.

Owner Steve Dale said on Thursday there were four parties interested in buying the club.

EFL chief executive Debbie Jevans told BBC Sport that if a buyer did come forward they would consider a short extension to the deadline, but that "it's very difficult to see how we can postpone more matches".

"The clock is ticking, there's no question," said Jevans. "Nobody wants to see this club disappear out of the league, least of all me, which is why we are working 24/7 to try to stop that happening."

Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham this week wrote to Jevans asking for the club to be granted more time "given the urgency of Bury's plight".

Shakers fans have also staged numerous protests, with former director Joy Hart handcuffing herself to a drainpipe outside their Gigg Lane home and a coffin reading 'RIP Bury FC 1885-?' was placed at the directors' entrance.

Founded in 1885 and first elected to the EFL nine years later, Bury were playing in what is now known as the Championship as recently as 1999 and have twice won the FA Cup.

A very sad day for football.

Bury expelled by English Football League after takeover collapses

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49451896

Bury have been expelled by the English Football League after a takeover bid from C&N Sporting Risk collapsed.

The League One club had been given until 17:00 BST on Tuesday to complete the deal, having been granted an extension to Friday's initial deadline.

Bury are the first team to drop out of the EFL since Maidstone's liquidation in 1992.

League One will comprise 23 clubs for the rest of the season, with only three teams to be relegated.

"When the news broke at Gigg Lane, fans instantly let out a huge cry - for help, of disbelief," said BBC Radio Manchester's Mike Minay.

"Fans walked away in instant tears, some crouching down to the floor."

EFL executive chair Debbie Jevans said it was "one of the darkest days" in the league's history, and added: "I understand this will be a deeply upsetting and devastating time for Bury's players, staff, supporters and the wider community.

"There is no doubt today's news will be felt across the entire football family."
