Very encouraged by this game. When it looked like we were 2.0 down I thought oh dear this could be embarrassing.
But we came back into game and the second half we were the best team. Very attack minded and although we might concede goals this season we sure will score some too.
Credit to Liverpool fans for showing respect to John Hollins but boy weren’t they quiet.
I think we might surprise a few people this season.

Oxford United, as its my home town.
I get a lot of stick from mates who follow Oxford, saying i should support my home town club and i do have a strong affinity for them but ive always been Chelsea, its in my heart.

Frank did well in his first season with us. He had to contend with the transfer ban, and we ended fourth.
This season is a right off but having Frank back for a bit will bring some joy to what has been a joyless season.
The pain we are feeling now will make the eventual joy of winning things again all the sweeter. We may have to wait for a bit but for FFS some of the posts on here are disproportionate to what has occurred. Yes, it’s been a poor season. But the potential of this team is immense.
We should be thankful to Frank for stepping in. Yes, he has been a bit naïve as a coach, but people are too hard on him. His enthusiasm and energy might just give the players the motivation to make this season more pleasant and dare I say exciting in the final stages. At least we might get some passion!

People writing us off in the Champions league must have a really short memory.

I started going early 80s and it was the liquidator. There was no ‘we hate Tottenham’ part. Everyone would clap at that point of the song and then shout Chelsea.
My son likes to shout the we hate ... part but for me it kind of spoils the song.
I remember Bates criticising the liquidator saying it was from another age and not in keeping with the modern image of the club.
From memory attempts were made to replace it but fans moaned.
My main issue with the liquidator is that at SB it is not played loud enough or long enough. I am quite sure back in the day we played the whole song ( which is only a couple of minutes anyway).
The song is driven by the fans and I get the impression there is a lack of conviction from the board towards some Chelsea traditions but I could be wrong.

Chelsea FC are without question a ruthless club and whilst many of us more romantic types might have liked a manager who stayed with some degree of longevity creating a distinct football culture …the trophies we have won backs up the ruthless approach even if some decisions made us feel uncomfortable as fans.
However, the removal of TT does not appear to be a sound footballing decision. It stinks of incompetence and to be honest is embarrassing. Of all the suitors looking to buy the club I was never convinced about this bid. I want to be proved wrong but I worry the bloke is a rich idiot when it comes to football.
