Bit off subject but this coming Saturday I'll be going to watch two of the World's oldest football clubs Cray Wanderers and Sheffield FC play each other. The game will be played at Cray Wanderers. Only £5 to get in and about a mile from where I live. Cray Wanderers was formed in 1860 and Sheffield FC in 1857.

After losing at home to Stoke in midweek. Carlisle Utd won the ‘Lake District Derby’.

Okay, so I’m pushing the geographical term here!!😀

They beat Barrow 1-0 at home yesterday.

Ilkeston Town with a 5-1 win at the weekend.

Started going back to watch them the last few seasons as it seems we finally have stable ownership and investment and the future looks bright. Currently have Harry Maguire's brother at the back for us.

We used to have Kevin Wilson managing the old Ilkeston Town before some dodgy owners sunk the club. We even hosted Chelsea in Pre-season back in 2013...

Surely oxymoronic.

Obviously there’s the Rangers connection so always keep an eye on the ‘Gers. Also keep track of Dynamo Dresden in Germany.

St Etienne went down narrowly 8-0 away to Nice! Moving swiftly on…

Carlisle Utd actually won😀 beating Swindon Town 2-0 away!!

Swindon must be a heap.

That's an understatement

The mighty Robins (Bristol City) beat Oxford 2 1 at the weekend, good game 😀 ... We have taken our comfortable spot in the middle of the Championship table  where we will probably stay until the end of the season.

What both Carlisle Utd and St Etienne would give for ‘a comfortable spot in the middle of their respective tables from now until the end of the season’ !😀

Carlisle Utd drew 1-1 with Crewe Alexandra yesterday. A good performance and result against Crewe who are currently third in the table.

Carlisle can only merely dream of such a lofty league position!

This is the third league draw in a row for Carlisle.

They drew with Bromley away and Doncaster at home on the last two Saturdays. Thought I’d posted those results !

St Etienne were hammered 5-0 away to Rennes yesterday! Moving on…
