January 31, 20197 yr I guess there’s nothing happening for us today? We’re not going to replace Fabregas are we?
January 31, 20197 yr Think Kovacic could be a possible backup to Jorginho. I mean he doesn't exactly offer a threat towards goal. Wouldn't mind seeing him get a shot in that position at least. Not sure of who else we currently have in the squad that can play that role. Selling Fabregas was a mistake in January, not sure why they didn't agree to the sale for the summer.

January 31, 20197 yr I don't expect us to make any moves today, as far as bringing in any players. Could be some payers leaving though.

This is my thought as well. He seems to be a good fit for that role but maybe there is something Sarri doesn't see in him? Idk what that could be tho
February 1, 20197 yr 42 players on loan at the end of the January transfer window. There's probably 30/35 of these of these that could/should be sold. I get that we try to use the loan system as a means of income but when our first team squad needs sorting juggling 40 other players is surely detrimental.

Just the amount of players is absolutely ridiculous.
February 1, 20197 yr If we replace Jorginho with Kante as a deep midfielder and RLC as the attacking midfielder then we might have replaced him for nothing. I think playing them in front of the back 4 will encourage players getting into the box rather than playing so deep waiting for the counter.

Don’t understand why so many are still on this list, Should be sold. How can a player like Todd Kane win a youth cup and at the age of 26 still be on loan! We had a goalkeeper final go this season after being our longest serving player of nearly 9 years without playing a first team game for Chelsea!
February 4, 20197 yr Author Yeah, even though our loan system can work I still think it’s silly. Hoarding all the young players until we realise they’re no good. It’s like taking them, chewing them and then spit them out. I feel we really should let most of these players go. Loans like Bakayoko, Abraham etc makes sense but what about the likes of Piazon, Baker, Kalas, etc what is the point of keeping them?
