Wednesday night we're at home to Villa and then we have to play Everton away on Saturday morning before a crunch match with Lillie on Tuesday.

I'm sick of this, every season we get screwed over like this.

How would you do it differently? That's the maximum amount of time we could get between Everton and lille.

Stop moaning.

We also have an extra days rest compared to Villa while Everton have an emotionally sapping Merseyside Derby days before facing us.

We're happy to take the big money TV deals so as a consequence we have to accept this scheduling.

It really doesn't look that bad to me. Other than the trip up to Liverpool we're not playing outside London until the new year.

4/12 Villa (home)

7/12 Everton (away)

10/12 Lille (home)

14/12 Bournemouth (home)

22/12 Tottenham (away/London)

26/12 Southamptom (home)

29/12 Arsenal (away/London)

The season starts for everyone on the same day (+/- 1) and ends on the same day for everyone so, logically, the number of days rest between games must average out the same for every team. The only addition is involvement in other competitions which is a good thing.

I often find this siege mentality bewildering but this is an accusation against ‘them’ which really has zero basis.
