My question:

"So if you think Kante didnt cost us today, would you be ok with him performing like that on a regular basis?"

Axmans answer:

"Yes."

Your answer:

"Yes from me as well. [...]"

You want to keep going with more silly comments or leave it at that like I intended from the start?

I pointed out yours was an opinion, not evidence, which is how you presented it. You then claimed I wanted you to be direct. Hence the bad reading, because I said no such thing. And now you label my comments as silly, because I look at our elimination from a different perspective than you. You use a premiss I don't agree with, plain and simple. Like Rüdiger, Kante made a mistake that led to a goal yes, and despite that he intercepted many through balls by being at the right position at the right moment. We won the return match in regular time, and just because we f**ked up the home match when Mendy made that horrible mistake that allowed Madrid to score their 3rd goal, extra time was necessary. So if anybody is to blame, it's Mendy. But as I said before, I don't want to blame any one player. If you think about it, so many moments can be pointed at as to why we either didn't score another goal: do we blame the players who missed a good chance, like Havertz and Pulisic? Pulisic also lost the ball leading to a Madrid goal btw. So Kante, having made a mistake or not, played fine in general imo, so not to blame and therefore I'm fine with him playing like that, because no matter what, we won the match. And - I repeat - it's the first match that caused our knockout.

If you don't want people to respond to your questions, don't ask them. If you don't want people to explain why they disagree with you, don't post your opinion. This is a discussion board. So we discuss.

To be fair the Spuds wouldn’t be coming back from 3-1 down, they don’t have the proper mentality for it.

Plus I'm fairly sure 'defending champions Tottenham Hotspur' is an oxymoron

No. You said you're ok with Kante performing like he did in Madrid on a regular basis, when his stats for the match are publicly available. Stats are factual -which is what I meant by "evidence"- and it wasn't just about that one mistake. If you can't realize or admit that, I obviously can't force you to. But I also don't have to consider your silly comments as a valid opinion or further indulge you.

Thanks for the explanation about discussion boards. I'll keep posting my opinion though and react to yours however the f*** I want. As long as I'm not banned by some white knight coming to your rescue obviously.

There you go again with labelling someone's opinion that's contrary to yours as silly. Also, the suggestion that a white knight should come to my rescue is pretty sexist, not to mention dismissive towards the mods. No idea why you should feel the need to resort to that attitude, but I can guess.

You keep harping on about Kante, which is rather obtuse when I already explained a few times I don't agree with your blaming him. I don't feel the need to repeat myself.

And "stats" :laugh2:  Ahh, you made me laugh!

"You're not a very good reader, are you?" is a silly comment. Your rubbish about how message boards work is a silly comment. You trying to talk about me rather than about the game, while statistics like Kante giving the ball away 16 times and basically having a mare are making you laugh, is even more silly.

Mind you, I didn't once call your opinion silly, I said I don't have to consider it valid. And I don't. I'm here to talk football. I got lots of mates that go to a match just to get drunk and have a good time. It's fine. So how about you go talk about socks or icecream or whatever while I keep harping on about CFC and player performances? Or is mentioning that "sexist" and "dismissive of the mods" as well now? I bet I hurt their feelings.

I talked extensively about the Madrid and other matches, it's all there to read. The fact that you don't banter like I do only tells me you have no mates here. You still don't want to accept I stand by my opinion, and disagrre with yours. See the difference in our terminology? I say 'disagree', you say 'not valid'. Apparently only your opinion is valid. That exemplifies the condescension your posts have expressed.

Now stop wasting my time. Go complain to the few mates you claim to have about how only you understand football. Goodbye.

No need to get so emotional. If you can't handle my opinion on your unsolicited, silly comments, maybe just ignore it next time. That way you won't waste any more of your very valuable time and have enough to talk more about socks with all your mates here. 😅
