Proud of the team. What a performance. Just a few lapse in concentrations proved costly. Either way, after that first leg, did not see us beating them 3-1 but we were brilliant. James was brilliant, especially considering he had that yellow from the opening few mins. Kovacic was world class again and because he isn't KDB, his performance will not be spoke about, however he was brilliant. His usual running past players like they aren't there and his general play was top class. Just love watching him. Brilliant player. Rudiger top class. Werner too. Basically whole team put in a good performance. Even was surprised about Alonso and more notably RLC performance. Thought he was solid. The subs were the only ones who failed to impact the game.

Still a lot to play for this season. We have been fighting far on all competitions this season. Literally been having a game week in, week out. Finish solidly in the league and hopefully seal FA Cup glory.

Really nothing to fault today. With a little bit of luck, we'd have gone through. 

But at the same time, without a bit of luck last year, we wouldn't have won it. All in all, the performance was there. Results can always go either way in tight match ups.

Werner and Mount were electrifying at times.

In life & sports, it hurts the most when the thing you want is in your hands but it slips away. If the first leg was a nightmare, this was also a nightmare but of a different kind. Yes, Real are a good team with top players who can turn around a match in a instant but the counter argument is that if you are to win the CL then you should be able to hold onto a lead with only 10 + added time to play, no matter the opposition. 

This was a f**king gut punch, to see your team play so well away from home but see it all go to waste. I would've preferred a quiet 1-0 win over this. The team would be crestfallen & its difficult to see them recover from this on the weekend. 

Expect to see this Madrid team go on to win the whole thing. With the criminal amounts of luck they have enjoyed so far, won't be surprised if they have made a deal with the devil and are on for another 3-peat.

A great performance last night. Every single player played well. Gutted we didn’t go through.

Yes from me as well. Despite individual errors we actually won this match, at the Bernabeu, and got knocked out only after extra time because of a dreadful first match. I'm not going along with blaming particular players, it was the team last week that cost us.

I find it hard to believe that any criticism is aimed at the players last night. Every player of the starting eleven went out on that pitch and gave his all. Nothing was brought back into the dressing room. It just wasn’t to be, unfortunately their replacements added to the team whilst ours severely degraded the team. We now have a cup semi final in 4 days followed by two big league matches…all in the space of ten days. It is going to be a punishing period that will need the fans getting behind the team and maybe the little luck that deserted us last night. Well done to all last night, our fans could be clearly heard at the Bernebeu lifting the team to a magnificent performance(albeit in vane), heroes the lot of them…they made us proud.

That's just the loss talking. I'm pretty sure everyone agrees that the lads made most of us proud and we went out battling tooth and nail.

Beat City over two legs and then Liverpool in the Final? No mate, this is not going to happen anytime soon. Yes, Madrid are very lucky, but you are going to need more than luck to beat the two best European clubs.

We made a mess of this tie with our incredibly poor display in the 1st half at the Bridge last week, otherwise we'd be in the SF now thinking once again, just like last season, how easy was to beat Madrid as they are nothing special anymore. And they really aren't. You are right, it sucks to play that well and go out, we could have put 7-8 past Madrid at the Bernabeu and frankly they need to give Courtois a big bonus, he got them through to the semis with that monster save at 3-0 when Havertz headed that ball.

Imagine what would City do over two legs, Madrid just don't have the midfield to cope with City's high line and constant pressing. Yes, their midfield is full of top passers, but they are useless against the press, City will simply feast on that.

Absolutely Vagabond. Much prefer the central pairing of Kante and Kovacic. We have a far higher tempo with those two playing together in the middle. 

 

Ironically enough, Jorginho was excactly who we needed at 3-0 up yesterday. Hindsight is 20/20 but Tuchel would have replaced Kante with him at that point if he could do it all again.

Higher tempo was not what we needed at 3-0 and risky passes in our own half at that point was the very last thing we ever needed. Kovacic is safer in that aspect as he takes the ball and runs with it like some running-back so Jorginho-Kovacic to close the game out would have us in the semifinal right now in my opinion.

The way we played, dominant and showed actually that we belong to that level. I'm proud of everyone who took a part of this game, there was a big commitment and passion to win. I won't lie, at 3-0 I already felt our celebrations after the game but we've made mistakes and they're part of the game. After playing 120 minutes, it's impossible to be perfect in defense, even if you sit down and parking the bus. But I do expect from the attacking line to score at least one goal from the chances we had. And that's little bit disappointing.

Only positive vibes from this game, we showed our class and were the better team. We still have a lot to play for and most important thing is to keep that motivation and form as long as we can to end this season with a good result.

Mixed emotions. Proud of the way we went down fighting in the second leg, but disappointed we wasted an opportunity to be in the Semi Final knowing we were good enough to be there. For whatever reason, we weren't switched on in the first leg and it cost us dearly.

Despite falling short, there's a lot of positives to take out of the game. Whoever the new owners are, it's imperative we secure TT for the long-term.

I honestly think there has been more coverage on last night then there was on us actually winning the thing. As for the handball if you listen on headphones to the handball you can hear the thud as it hits Alonso's chest total bollocks of a decision.

So pleased for Timo … maybe this will kickstart his Chelsea career? Maybe also RLC? As for Pulisic, I think his race is run and still unsure about Ziyech. 

We have lost the ucl and carabao cup despite being the better team in both games.. 

The only thing that would have been worse than losing yesterday would be losing on penalties.

The first thing the new owners need to do is get rid of the deadwood. Pulisic and ziyexh are in that category for me.

Gutted by the result but optimistic of the future with Tuchel as our manager

Still hard to take that we went out last night. Shattered just thinking about the game.

RLC..  I don't think so, he never does much and just can't make a decent pass.. Sadly

It was clear that team looked absolutely knackered and need a change preferably a midfielder because both kova and kante were gassed, it was pretty much mikel time but we had only Jorgi n saul on thr bench

Replace Saul with Gallagher in the summer, maybe bring in Rice as well if the new owners feel like breaking the bank. Replace Luakaku with a striker. Replace either Pulisic or Ziyech with someone better, and suddenly our bench looks a lot stronger and we'd be winning that game. We're just lacking in a few areas at the moment.
