All Kante had to do when he was being pressured was go down. 

With 10mins to go, we should have thrown every dirty trick in the book. This is top level sports, your opponents won't be nice enough to give fairplay

    Great effort by the starting eleven. 

    Ultimately we lost because they had three things we don't.

    1. A centre forward made of goals 

    2. Players who cross the ball to a target rather than hopefully 

    3. Subs who step up and make a difference.

    Hopefully we can keep that attitude for the rest of the season. Cup and top four to play for.

    Same old story ... 28 shots and 7 on target ...  great performance away from home but just lacking the killer instinct, and compounded by brain farts to concede soft goals.

    Well we went down fighting at least. Hard to take being 3-0 up with 10 to go, but you can't switch off against players like Modric or Benzema for even a second or they can produce something out of nothing.

    Gutted but happy at the same time

    Our subs tonight did not work.

    The team did exceptionally well to get 15 mins away from winning the tie.

    Even after Madrid got their tie winning goal we had several chances to equalise.

    Rob Green on BBC 5 live said we were rushing the chances in the 2nd period of extra time.

    As a small consolation we have broken a club records of 8 consecutive away wins.

    From 7 on target making 3 goals that must be one of the most clinical matches we have played this season.

    Or hit the ball hard enough for Loftus-Cheek, or if Pulisic wasn't sh*t and took one of his chances. So annoying to go out after playing so well.
