I'm not sure either but I take a lot of weight in fan opinion and they wouldn't have been so harsh on him for fun. It's not even like Jorgi here who divides opinion, it's almost universally agreed his time has been a shocker.

As I've already touched on I think lockdown had a massive negative effect on him. To not even be allowed to train for months after those performances against the Scouse duo must have been a massive mental setback at a developing age.

Ironically we probably missed a trick not sending him there when they were in the Champ as Oliver Skipp done very well in that role there in that division.

Tbh I actually wanted Sulé and De Ligt as our core defence with Silva in and out the side to coach these 2 behemoths on how to play strategically like Puyol and Pique. We would have been a beast in defence with these 2.

One would have been free and another at 80m. 80m for 2 upcoming CBs is very cheap compared to the 100m+ we now have to pay because of how slow we were in the market and with the slowness of the takeover

Hopefully the biggest transfers of the season will be Marina, Buck and the rest of the board going out of the door.
