Recommended Posts

i had fun in trying to find all our different number 6's over the years

for a lot of players that are listed as having worn the number 6 i couldn't find any pictures

apparently players used to change numbers way more often than nowadays

Ron Harris

Marvin Hinton

Steve Clarke

Oriol Romeu

Nathan Aké

Abdul Rahman-Baba

i've noticed something

our last 3 captains over the years all have a numerical link to the number 6

Terry #26

Cahill wore #24 2+4=6

Azpi wears #28 8-2= 6

following this our next captain should be James who's wearing #24 now

Nah, it's going to be Kenedy #23 2x3=6

For me off the top of my head when I started going sun 1978

Ron Harris Steve Wicks Mickey Nutton Ossie even wore it (78/79)

John Sitton Gary Chivers Colin Pates John Bumstead Tony Mc Andrew Darren Wood    Mal Donaghey I think wore the Premier league version before Steve Clarke took over
