When the CFCNet forums finally hit the buffers, presumably due to a lack of funds to maintain the domain, I decided I needed somewhere else to vent about our club. I've been a Chelsea supporter for over 50 years, I've been there through the peaks and troughs and cried like a baby when Didier scored that final penalty in 2012. My views swing from being considered and reasonable to shooting from the hip. It will take a bit of time to work out the format of this forum compared with CFCNet but hopefully I will be able to be a constructive voice here in the long term.

Had no idea net went but it can be a struggle keeping a forum platform up at times! It’s a shame because with recent social media appearance over the years, if you haven’t laid foundations on a forum before that, there is little to no chance of creating a community now! I joined cfcnet even before the CSR forums which grew into this forum, so that’s a proper end of an era!

Good to have an old skool fan about, there is plenty here

Welcome. I used to post on CFCnet donkeys years ago, can’t remember why I stopped.

Did you enjoy the brief visit from our friend and yours Liam aka Maltablue (he completely ripped off our very own Zeta’s prediction league for the 10 minute he was there)?

I started way back on the 606 thing on BBC. Looong time ago now.

Actually that forum is up and running under new ownership with different URL.

This lot are mugging your forum off. They are using it to get in touch with old cfcnet members to send them to their new site. There is a thread on there saying so and @strider6004 is sending them over there like a snake. It does not surprise me they are still wrapped up in drama.

In truth CFCnet had not been the same for a number of years. It spent some time offline and then some errors and it didn't recover after. It seemed since then and after the magazine, the admins just couldn't be bothered any longer and it just became a shadow of itself. It also became a complete over-moderated drama fest with moderators throwing all their magnificent power around. You could only add 2 emoji's maximum per post or they cried about it. It isn't any wonder that Pete sold the place off and cashed in while they could.

Chelsea Bulletin boards like this and the other one (though they seem to concentrate more on social media and blog posts) continue to thrive because why? It isn't over moderated ,stuck in 2004 and they let people post without feeding their own ego's with their power.

Interesting to see you 'reincarnated' and so strange to see we have had 2 -3 members all from Malta and possibly or probably called Liam over the last couple of years.

Yes I told a couple of people the other forum was up and running after the old mods there decide to move on, as they were previously members.

It is up to them to rejoin if they want to  yet can also remain a member of both like me if they decide to.

It will be interesting to see if you stick it out long enough to make more than a score of posts ...................
