July 17, 20251 yr How can there be no injury time after that goal area incident where Hannah Hamilton got a nose bleed and was forced to change clothes.
July 18, 20251 yr Went to bed late yesterday forgot to put my dinner as was so caught up in the match so eat around midnight.Defensively at 6 and 7s in the first and Jesse Carter struggled at time tohugh also the Swedes pressure was a big factor.Until Kelly and Agyemang came on from 78 mins onward the Swedes rarely looked troubled yet Kelly's pace down the flank together with a sizeable presence in the centre broke the Swedes.Penalty shootout was a shocker though Hamilton did well to keep her nerve.Loved the panache on Kelly's penalty. I think that they had six penalties and three of them, including the clinching were miles off of target. Fair play to Hannah but in reality she had little effect in the overall outcome of the shootout, which in truth, was pretty shocking from both teams.

July 20, 2025Jul 20 Crikey, some effort by Germany, keeper in particular. She has come back from two bouts of thyroid cancer. France all fur coat and no knickers.

Berger is a fine goalie. Made some good saves last night especially when she was wrong-footed and dived to her right when one of her team-mates headed the ball back.

A shame she left Chelsea but then we have Hannah Hampton.Could be an England v Germany final with Hampton and Berger.

July 22, 2025Jul 22 Tonight's team:England XI: Hampton, Bronze, Williamson, Morgan, Greenwood, Walsh, Stanway, Toone, James, Russo, Hemp.Subs: Keating, Moorhouse, Charles, Mead, Le Tissier, Clinton, Carter, Agyemang, Kelly, Beever-Jones, Park, Wubben-Moy.
July 22, 2025Jul 22 Thought our manager left it late to put on Agyemang yet it came together. Not a great performance yet we delivered late on with a Kelly penalty. Thought Italy gave us problems with their organised play. In the last two games Kelly and Agyamang have changed the outcome albeit with more offensive players on the pitch. Might be a dilemma for Wiegman in the next match, stick or twist.
July 23, 2025Jul 23 A win despite Wiegman's efforts. Bizarre that she left the subs so late. But she has history.
