Like you say its a tough call and i think he has done quite well, im biased but i think Joey shouldve made the list (he is twice the player Malouda is)

And despite his age im stunned Maldini isnt there.

Oh and his description of Essien is brilliant.

5. Michael Essien (Chelsea)

A one-man wrecking crew. Is there anything he can?t do? You could probably let the rest of the team go off for a fag break in the middle of the game and let him man the fort in midfield. Terrifyingly gifted already and, if given more responsibility, likely to get even better.

A pretty good list, Riccy C and Mikel should be in there though.

Is Buffon that much better than Cech though? I've not seen enough of Buffon to really know, all I know is that Cech is awesome.

i sort of agree with it but then you look at #4 Samuel Eto'o. In My Opinion he is the most over rated striker in europe. You warch him when barcelona are getting beat he dosent want to know he runs about crying like his wee brazilian friend Ronaldinho

I can't really agree with all of that list. Terry should be higher up (atleast higher than Gerrard).

How does this poll work? The Times newspaper had the Premierships best listed as 1st = Ronaldo, 2nd = Lampard and 3rd = Cech. Worldwide from the same paper and it's Lampard down to 16th, Cech to 14th and Gerrard is 7th.. oh come on!!

This is just Gab Marcotti's list, isn't it? And the other one was Daniel Finkelstein's, I think - based on his stats for the season. I think Gerrard was about 80th.
