Nibs
Yet another tough call. On a night of a very disappointing result some of the performances were not bad, although at times the defence looked all over the place. Sheva did a lot better tonight - glad he got the goal, but still can't see a MOTM performance in what he did. Malouda was a lot better in the second half and must come close but I've gone for Belletti. He showed a great deal of urgency when needed second half and had many great touches. I like him. The Moos
What is the point with polls if people keep chosing players who didn't even play? It's just pathetic. If everyone on the pitch was absolute rubbish then why not be able to chose "nobody"?

Alan
I went for Malouda, one of the only positives to come out of the game today alongside Sheva.

It's just pathetic. If everyone on the pitch was absolute rubbish then why not be able to chose "nobody"? I wouldn't worry about it too much - it is just a wasted vote Perhaps, but it's still annoying I gave a valid reason why Lampard was my MOTM against Blackburn. Okay, so its a wasted vote because he didn't play and you obviously can't be MOTM when you don't play... in the match. However, countless times I've heard 'they play their best games when they're not involved...' by various sources - on here, pundits etc... So therefore I casted my vote. Anyway, tonight Alex got it, for no real reason except I remember him winning a lot of balls in the air. Could be completely wrong though and he won 2. just
I wonder who picked Sidwell. I did. At half-time. I was hoping to raise a laugh at what was a pretty grim performance. In my defence there were five jokers who voted for Shev on Saturday!

Bridgeboy
I think Jose made the wrong subs, Should of taken maka off and put obi in there, then A.cole - swp on off 3 at the back Joe behind kalou and sheva and swp on the right wing. However 2 posts with only a goal to win it is very uinlucky. Great goal from sheva and jope to see more Vs the mancs.
BlueBosnian
Wow, Sheva's got 53% so far. Who would have thought after all the reactions here about his match against Blackburn (in which I personally thought he did well compared to the other players)? cyberworm314
I did say, after the Blackburn game in which Sheva had unanimously a disappointing game, to wait one game and pass judgement then, because one game does not call a season. Both times that we hit the post btw, were assists from Shevchenko. We should consider ourselves unlucky not to have won the game, given Rosenborg hardly moved out of their half in the last 20 minutes. Last season Drogba scored 30 goals, remember? Shevchenko assisted him in many of those goals and often drew defenders away giving Drogba space to run. No one can question his ability to play in a team or his work rate and commitment. The sad thing is, almost everyone is more concerned with the result than the progress. Machinated efficiency is now by far preferred to original craftsmanship- this you can see everywhere: Many household items are mass-produced, rather than made by a skilled craftsman. I don't know where my train of thought is going at the moment, so I'll just put on the brakes and back into a siding. By the way, I voted for Shevchenko in both games. In the Blackburn game, his last-minute header was denied by a top save, but the volley on Samba was comedic, reminiscent of last season's comedy routine against Blackburn. You can see him raise his hands to his head in shock and despair after he volleys Samba in the general direction of the goal. In both games, he was unlucky not to get more, but the law of averages states that his luck is likely to improve as we progress through the season. Right now.. Shevchenko has 57% of votes, which is an encouraging sign for Mourinho to use him against Man U alongside Pizarro (and possibly Joe Cole) if Drogba recovers only by the Valencia game which is in two weeks. Hmmmmmm Rosenborg and Hull, is this Shevas limit???? He needs to do it against Man Ure on Sunday !!!! my point exactly ridiculous. If, after at least 6 weeks of match play and training, and with a side that in some way can play to his strengths, he's not scoring... then he's finished. but you want too much

Pauly
yeah... you don't need strength in the legs if somebody paid 30 million pounds for you...
midlandblue
so the reason for his poor form, his poor first touch, his poor shots on targets per game ratio is because of " lack of strength in the legs" and you also claim Jose has not managed him well. and the fact that he cost the club ?30 million is neither here nor there. I'm not saying he is not a decent footballer and yes on his day he is one of the best attacking plers in the world, but his day is gone. so please stop blaming and everyone but Sheva himself, he's having a bad season after an average season and ther is no sign of him improving. The current stuation is we are lumbered with a ?30 million pound miss fit.
