was gonna use piclens but was told it bumps firefoxes memory leekage right up. i hope firefox3 does use less memory, mine eats up loads. never even heard of camino.

Safari all the way for me.

I've tried Safari for Windows. It's nice and uncluttered, quite fast and stable for a beta, and I'd probably use it more regularly if it was more customisable.

Now I've said that, I've just downloaded Safari 304, the setup file for which is twice the size of the previous version.

Bonjour for Windows? I'm not 'aving that! icon_lol.gif

icon_lol.gif I'm using it on a Mac. I only use windows when I absolutely have to and then I use Firefox.

IE is my browser of last resort.

Cheers for that mate, there's a few on there I'm going to grab which I overlooked on the Firefox site.

That Cooliris gave me a few probs when I first installed it sometime back, and now seems to be working fine for me, though it can get a little annoying if you mouseover a link you don't want to see, and have to close it by the X.

That football results one I added runs a treat, so is worth a look.

Piclens is great (if a little gimmicky) and puts google images, photobucket in a whole new light.

Anyone reading and wants to give Firefox a whirl from your current browser, you can download it from the left column on The Shed End Homepage (plug, plug)

Got firefox as my default due to IE8 being absolute pony. Streaming is a nuisance at times but like someone said just use a standalone prob solved.

However one thing I have noticed is big downloads tend to drop out when a fair whack through so I use another decent add on for Firefox which is called downthemall, it's an acelorator (not noticed any speed difference of note) but it has a resume broken link (pause as well) so you can download one file in as many bits as you like which is really handy especially when a 600mb + file loses connection...well worth using in my book. Also AVG Free version 8 (anti virus, anti spireway, link checker etc) has recently been released and has an add on tool bar for mozilla and IE for pre scanning of sites also well worth having for a bit of free protection.

Upgraded to Firefox 3 today, looks nicer and seems quicker. Con's of it, if you got a lot of add-on's installed on 2, they don't seem to work in 3 (most of them anyway). Also, looks like it loses some favourites and some RSS on the toolbar.

Installed Firefox 3 yesterday, very nice. Also Mod, I've tried clicking on the links for the add-ons you've mentioned but I keep getting the '404 Not Found' error message.

Ah yea, converting the script here would have f'ed the links up as it's an older post.

Go on their site, it's all on there, though the majority are not working for FF3 yet.

Good bit of marketing that Download Day was eh!

Been using firefox for last 5 years....and this new 3.0 release is pretty awesome. Its faster and takes less memory.
