Posted March 17, 200817 yr Wednesday sees the start of the run in to the title. With 9/8 games to go it's neck and neck between the top three and not only do we all have to play each other but Arsenal and Man U have to face Liverpool too. Here are the remaining fixtures: Chelsea: 5 Home and 4 Away - 4 tough matches Tottenham (A) - tough match Arsenal (H) - tough match Middlesboro (H) Man City (A) Wigan (H) Everton (A) - tough match Man U (H) - tough match Newcastle (A) Bolton (H) Arsenal: 3 Home and 5 Away - three tough matches Chelsea (A) - tough match Bolton (A) Liverpool (H) - tough match Man U (A) - tough match Reading (H) Derby (A) Everton (H) Sunderland (A) Man U: 5 Home and 4 Away - 5 tough matches Bolton (H) Liverpool (H) - tough match Aston Villa (H) - tough match Middlesboro (A) Arsenal (H) - tough match Blackburn (A) - tough match Chelsea (A) - tough match West Ham (H) Wigan (A) It's really hard to say who has the toughest run in. Hopefully we will start the last 8 matches level with Arsenal and probably 3 points behind Utd. If w can get wins against Spurs and Arsenal then the race will be well and truly on with the game against Utd being pivotal. I'm starting to get quite excited.
March 17, 200817 yr Boro away will be a tough game I reckon for the Mancs - they're not bad against the bigguns at the Riverside, West Ham have a good record against them too. I guess I'll have to cheer Liverpool for their two games, it'll hurt. Let's just see what happens Wednesday, this week will be very nerve-racking. Do us a favour Bolton....................
March 17, 200817 yr If we win our remaining 9 matches, collecting the full available 27 points, we'll have 91 points. That means we'd have beaten Arsenal and Man Utd and Avram will be able to drop the tag of not being able to win the big one. I'd be the first to congratulate him and give him deserved respect. If that occurs, we still are not assured the title. If the Mancs win all of their other matches save for our game against them, they, too, will finish at 91 points. They are currently 13 goals ahead of us on goal differential, so that would win them the title almost certainly. Odds are that they will drop points between now and then, but then again, odds are that we will do the same. This one will certainly be tight.

ManU and Ar*e play eachother still. 0-0 would be great! And if Liverp**l can help us I just might hate them little bit less. I'm confident we will not lose home against the big ones so wednesday's Spuds game is really crucial.
March 17, 200817 yr this game against Tottenham is so important,. We win against arsenal and Liverpool beat united race is down to us and united. I came up with us at 89 points by the end of the season for us and united with 87. us winning every game and drawing one game, and united drawing twice, possibly losing one so 87/86.
March 18, 200817 yr I think that what qualifies as a "tough match" is pretty subjective. Towards the end of the season, teams involved in relegation battles are going to be a whole lot harder to beat than mid-table clubs with nothing to play for. Also, Liverpool are now due to do what they have done every season for the last 4 or 5 years - give up completely on the Premiership and concentrate on the Champion's League. I would be surprised if they put up any fight against Man United or the Arse in the League. For me, it will come down to two matches - our home games against Man United and Arsenal. I think if we win them both we will win the league. If we get one win and one draw it is going to be very close. Anything less, and I don't think we will make it. I don' think we will win every other match, but i don't think the two above us will either. Everyone will drop points between now and the end of the season, I think it will come down to the big matches between the top three to decide it.
March 18, 200817 yr I agree with you Tom, the relegation teams will be playing for their lives. So will any top 6 positioned clubs since Spurts have taken one UEFA spot and will unlikely finish top 6 and the FA cup could well go to a lower division side.
March 18, 200817 yr Spuds game is really important but what are they playing for? They are out of the relegation battle the way I see it and too far away from the good spots of the table(8p from w-ham, 8p from danger). They seem to be the team to have least to play for. Of course they want to win every game since they don't want to slip close to the r-zone but is it enough to fight hard? They have their honor but is it enough either... The other hand our confidence could rise to a new level if we beat spuds at whl. With high level of confidence is good to welcome ar*e at SB to kick their sorry ar*es back to emirates.
March 18, 200817 yr Arsenal have the toughest run when we consider they have to play Lpool 3 times in a couple of weeks. Arse Manu and Chelsea have to make decisions about which comp is the priority soon. For us even though I hate to say it the Champions league is more realistic than the Premier. We have a relatively easy qtr final whereas in the leaque we are 3rd and worse goal difference. I would just so luv us to win the league this year but I am already scared that we will fall over at the first hurdle. We have lost twice to spurs in the last two seasons.
March 18, 200817 yr it really shouldn't be down to the run in, we dropped stupid points along the way with some lame draws.
March 18, 200817 yr it really shouldn't be down to the run in, we dropped stupid points along the way with some lame draws. That's probably what every Ar*se player and fan are thinking these days...
March 18, 200817 yr Spuds game is really important but what are they playing for? To beat us! Thats all that matters to them now...... ....they have already qaulified for Europe and they have a trophy, the remainder of their season can go to the wall as long as they stick it to us! This bunch of w**kers are complete and utter, low life scum! When we march down the seven sisters road tomorrow night, you'll be able to hear us on mainland europe!!!! Come on you blues!!!

I really hope so Glory. Give it plenty. Will go some way in making up for the CC final. That lot totally outsinging us on the day was as bad as the actual defeat itself
March 19, 200817 yr No they wont out sing us tomorrow night. Thinking about last year, not the cup replay (that was great) the league game where they done us and broke our famous record. Terrible day,but they never outsung us,and we missed Maka's goal!! COME ON CHELSEA
March 19, 200817 yr The next two games are massively important, to the extent that this time next week we're either going to be pretty much out of it (any dropped points and two Manchester United) or very much in it (two wins and United drop some points) - if United drop any points then it's very much in our hands, I just hope to god we don't throw it away if it comes to this.
