dkw
after the last few games that drogba has played, i think anelka gives us more going forward. his movement is much better, and the other attackers seem to benefit from his play more. dorgba is playing for drogba at the moment. BUT, drogba brings a lot to the defence at set pieces, and plays the lone role better. so, how about drogba at the sh*t tip, and anelka at the bridge. best of both worlds then. How about both of them? The problem with Anelka on his own is that he doesn't score enough. Together they would be formidable.
dkw
i cant decide wether an anelka/drogba partnership would work. on the one hand, anelka playing around drogba sounds exciting. as long as drogba allows anelka to play off him. but if drogba carrys on with his one man show reel attempts then it wouldnt matter who was their. he would just ignore them. ethicalstrategy
Well, the only time we have seen it we Drogba managed 2 goals in 10 mins. I think it is definitely worth trying.

BLUENUT
The Wigan game is ideal to try it out.
Mr Chelsea
wont that mean going 4-4-2 with anelka and drogba and let them both play as strikers off 1 an other rather than anelka been pushed out to the wide left or right and besides avram thinks 4-4-2 is joe coles locker number
quizgod
If both play then it has to be a 4-4-2, but I would probably go with Anelka and have Drogs on the bench, i feel at times when we have a clear 3 on 2 say, and Drogs got the ball, he always seems to shoot form 30 yards out when we have a man over, where as Anelka seems to be aware of other players around him in a better position to score. While Anelka's goal scoring form is not good at the moment, I feel playing against his old club he would like to get one over them, also I feel Anelka has got a better football brain on him than Drogs

Thanks bjd, i was screaming at the telly on Tuesday when we had that situation and it needed a simple, very simple lay off, and he shot from 30 yards at least. Drogs needs to be more aware of what is going around him, and also be aware the team does not revolve around him, thats way I would go for Anelka

He is clearly playing "in the shop window". But Drogs is the one Scum defenders hate and fear, he has single handedly destroyed them more than once so I'd go for Drogs still. I think Terry and the lads need to tell Drogs that he needs to play for the team or he doesn't play at all. Would like to see Drogs-Anelka work, maybe we should try it. coco
Not only should Drogba and Anelka be playing, but also Kalou, if Kalou gets put out on the left, Anelka wont be pushed out there.

True, but he will be pushed out to the right instead. Anelka is better down the middle, so that would indicate a 4-4-2 with Drogs and Anelka up front.
