Riccy, got JT outta jail more than once, and was very clean with it.

I voted Cech, since he saved us a few times. But it was close in my opinion, since I thought Malouda had a wonderful game, and deserved some credit.

Yes i gave him credit on here tonight, but he has not made up for his bad performances and it he only looked better because hes been crap up till now.

How many times can you say that JT was our worst defender out there? Not many, but this game was one of those times. Shocking defending from him at times, and 80% responsible for Pool's goal.

It was a close call between Carvalho and Cech, but Cech pulled off several great saves and kept us in it. Especially when he kept Gerrard's top corner effort out. Carvalho was awesome as well.

I thought Malouda was very good out there, much better than Joe Cole.

As to JT, his poor header led to the Pool's goal -- yes, Maka was at fault and moreso Lamps, but JT was in that mix of the Keystone Kops defence.

The right choice with hindsight would of been a front 3 of Kalou - Anelka - Malouda.

Lamps could've played it safe and just hoofed it up the field, but decided to try something fancy instead, so he's the main offender in my books.

Cech for me. I know at times his positioning wasn't great and he was slow to react once or twice but three saves that kept us in it. Couldn't have seen Carlo or Hilario saving that one from Gerrard.

Cech saved us on couple of occasions but i voted for Paulo.
