Mr Chelsea
that is mad, i've seen bizzare goals given at 5 -a-side where the ball goes through the side netting but i've never seen anything like it the linesman must have been on the phone to his bookieg checking the odds on 2 each
TheWestwayWonder
Its sad that a great series of saves from Watford's keeper had to be obscured by that utter utter tripe. Im starting to see what some managers mean about the respect campaign being a farce with garbage like this. Also, to add to the choice quotes, you'll never guess which t*atbag from Reading said "What was I supposed to do? Go up to the ref and tell him it wasnt a goal?" ;) farking scum

Backbiter
I seem to remember a linesman doing something similar in a big game a few years ago. It might have been in the Champions league. He claimed he saw the ball go over the line when it hadn't and bizarrely the goal stood. To make things worse, just beforehand the ref had ignored a blatant foul on the keeper. I don't think any action was taken against the officials for their incompetence. Any else remember the incident?
loz
Certainly rings a bell backbiter - wonder if Lofty remembers it.
byatt
I remember Watford scoring a similar "goal" against us in the FA Cup a good few years ago now when we drew 2-2 with them, what goes around comes around i suppose
Lofty
I don't remember anything like that in the Champions League but I do remember Alan Hudson being awarded a goal that either struck the stanchion or the side netting. I can't remember who it was against, but it was a long time ago. Bluebeard could tell you, I'm sure of it.
