But aren't you one of those saying in here that you have been giving matches a miss because of the "sh*te manager, sh*te team and sh*te play"? I know it's embarrassing, but even more embarrassing if people can't be arsed to support the team when it's not going that well, but CAN get up for a trip to Wembley.

Nearly 25 years later and we can't sell 33,000 no getting away from it this will be a dark day for Chelsea if we can't sell our allocation. What sort of crowds will we get if we have to move in to Wembley permanently for a couple of seasons more than 42,000?. I'm baffled by it to be honest. Struggling to shift 33,000 tickets for a cup semi final at Wembley.... Given that all home league games sell out, it means that a chunk of our typical match day crowd just can't be arsed with it. Can't remember us ever not selling out Wembley before. I am also really surprised the club hasn't enabled ST holders & members to buy an extra 4 tickets. There are so many people online hunting for spares, all while the club has thousands of tickets it can't sell on line that will probably end up in the bin, with endless rows of empty seats on match day. Grim.
April 13, 20188 yr It's because all hope has been sucked from this season by the clubs complete apathy towards putting in effort and showing any form of passion. Players aren't interested, manager isn't interested and radio silence from the club on the matter portrays to the fans a lack of interest all around. A de moralising nihilism has set in at the club and by extensionthe fans who have picked up on the feeling and no longer want to be involved. It sucks.

Starting with last Sunday's match against the Spammers, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Leicester...

I sort of agree with that, but if you can't get yourself up for a semi final at Wembley, regardless of the mood around the club, then you might as well just pack it in all together. I think it's a combination of the mood, but also just fans being spoiled, i.e. a trip to Wembley isn't that special anymore. But regardless of mood, if we reach the final against Manchester United, you can bet your bottom dollar tickets will sett out immediately. That doesn't sit well with me..

Seeing empty seats on the TV doesn't mean the match didn't sell out though... it means people didn't turn up, or are still in the concourse. The average home league game very rarely doesn't sell all it's 43,000 odd tickets.

I vaguely remember that game, but can't remember the crowd. Did we sell out the League Cup semi against Liverpool in 2005 in Cardiff? Like I said though, can't remember ever not selling out Wembley, old or new. I don't think the club is even allowed to put on general sale (as away fans could potentially buy tickets in our end), but surely they can enable ST & members to buy an extra 4 like all other games. So many more people would buy tickets...

Not defensive, but you said "Seeing empty seats on the TV...", which is suggesting that I did see those empty seats on the TV. In any case, I can tell you that we changed seat several times this season and no one came to tell me that I was seating in their seats. They may have not turned up (why spend that money and not bother to turn up?) but they were not all match in the bar. That is for sure.

I remember that game because I was out on the piss the night before, got conjunctivitis because I had my contacts in for too long, didn’t have my glasses with me and could see f**k all from up in the gods

Anyway, my point was that the tickets sell out. This is pretty easy to monitor, as the website states when a game sells out.

But this past Friday and Saturday there were still tickets available for the West Ham match. And that has been a constant this season, many times I get online to get my tickets, I see that other matches still have seats available. Right now there are still tickets available for the Liverpool match, it is still some time to go, but other seasons these would have sold out on the same morning that they came on sale. I am not suggesting SB is half empty, but it has not sold out a few times this season, that is all I'm trying to say ;)

A lot of the time the club gets returns from Thomas Cook (packages) which go back on sale. This, for example, happened with West Ham after it had initially sold out. Anyway, I take your point, but we really shouldn't struggle to find 33,000 takers for wembley when we comfortable exceed that on an average home game, that's all I am saying. I tell you what though; I reckon the last home game of the season which is against Huddersfield on a Wednesday evening (in what will almost certainly be a dead rubber game) may record the lowest attendance we have seen for many years.

It does show how many finals and semi finals we have been involved in in the last 15 years. That's true about general sale Sunderland have stopped Newcastle fans buying tickets for there last home game of the season. But if it can be done it should be I can't see many Southampton fans buying tickets for the Chelsea end.

I am surprised the club isn't doing more to try and shift tickets..... I can only hope they know something we don't. i.e. there aren't that many left to sell.
April 13, 20188 yr Southampton - FA Cup semi-final - Wembley - Sunday 22 April We have received an additional 838 tickets for the Semi Final taking our allocation to 34804. Tickets are still on sale to season ticket holders and members (one ticket per person). From Monday 16 April 7am ONLINE ONLY: Season ticket holders and members can purchase an extra two tickets (maximum of three in total). We regret that tickets already purchased cannot be swapped. Looks like now you'll be able to purchase an extra two tickets. Hopefully it will finally sell out?

Ticket prices should be capped at £30, same as they are for the Cup games at the bridge.

I totally agree about the prices, but if we are the only team that doesn't sell their allocation than I doubt the FA will take any notice. If all four teams did not sell out because of this it would for sure make a statement but when it's just us with empty seats I suspect it will just lead to ridicule by the twitter mob.

There have been a lot in there for quite a few games this season when I’ve been on it.

I don't think the price is really what is keeping people way though, if we are going to be honest. The £80 tickets sold out before the £45 & £65 tickets!
