Reece James
Unpopular opinion. I think Reece is not the best option to be a captain. I love him to bits, he's a world class talent and Chelsea through and through but he's just not vocal enough and does not command the kind of respect a true captain should. Watching the last game vs Arse makes it even more obvious, he's just too reserved and shy. Arsenal players are trying to bully and sh*thouse us all over the pitch, and the moment sh*t goes down, they're all over our player, or a ref, and Reece is just, well... there. Even Colwill has more of an attitude and has no problem getting into people's faces. I'm not saying you should run around screaming and picking fights all game like a madman, but there are times in almost every match where you got to stand up for your team. And captain should lead by example.

Think you need to remove those blue-tinted glasses! Not saying Estevao isn't going to be better than all of them eventually, but right now he is very inconsistent and wouldn't start ahead of a player like Gakpo.

Pedro Neto *Official*
No he’s not he’s our best player at running fast in a straight line!!!
-
Estêvão
That's not saying much. Liverpool have been tragic. They are currently shuffling between Rio, Munoz, and Gakpo on who can play RW. Estevao would be clear of them.

Pedro Neto *Official*
Show me who I have gone over the top in saying had a good game at the weekend. No one had a good game, I simply stated Neto is a bad player and offered nothing (as usual).

Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
I'm not sure their fitness/sharpness has anything to do with it. Lavia+James as a 2 man midfield will always pose issues for me, and it's magnified when we are up against the best team in the league, and arguably the best side in Europe, at closing down spaces.
-
Estêvão
Yep, Munoz has started well and now they have Barcola, Gapko can switch to the right too. Estevao would spend as much time on their bench as he currently does on ours, where he would keep Ngumoha company (also doesn't get much game time for one tipped to be the next big thing).
-
Estêvão
Munoz has been one of their best attackers so far, he has 2 man of the matches for them.
Today

He would most definitely start for Liverpool. They have that Muñoz lad currently playing RW.

Pedro Neto *Official*
Not really sure what the debate is all about, he's just an okay player who puts in a good shift. Against arsenal he was one of our best attackers but 1) that's not saying much seeing as all were poor and 2) every time he did something good he made a poor final decision as usual
-
Estêvão
No way he would get a start at Liverpool. United maybe, but they need to strengthen their defence before they think about attackers.
-
Estêvão
Will he, based on what exactly? Are you really claiming young players dont get a chance at Chelsea, considering the average age of our squad the past 2 years?
-
Alex Scott
Maybe if we are proactive and start negotiations on January 1st instead of January 31st an immediate transfer might even be possible.
-

What's quite funny is that the same rating system (Sofascore) being used to slate Neto also shows that Fofana was the best defender ! Probably why All Barco guillotined the screenshot to only show the front seven LOL Josh fans ... look away 😇

Estêvão
Now that the transfer window has closed and Chelsea have lost their first match it’s open season for these journalists. From Estevao’s point of view he can stake his claim against Leeds tomorrow. Slow news week.
-
Estêvão
He will start and earn more at Liverpool & Utd for starters.

I can imagine being one of the only clubs with spare cash from the summer splurge we have the advantage of not needing to raise funds to buy. I see us getting a deal done in January, with him joining in the summer to beat off any competition (if there is any). Will probably still try to get him in January but I don't see Bournemouths stance changing.

Estêvão
I think it’s clear what Alonso wants to do imo. Until this team defends as a unit effectively I think we will continue to see 5 at the back.
-
Pedro Neto *Official*
Never seen such pointless energy wasted on a player. He’s a road runner with zero IQ. End thread.
-
Estêvão
Drogba was absolutely crucial in defending corners. He got the first header half of the time.
-
Levi Colwill
We see how the RCB acts when we are on the ball. That needs to be James. Saw Josh in Arsenal’s box on several occasions.

He’s sh*t.

vs Arsenal, Neto was the second worst Chelsea player on the pitch, just ahead of Fofana. He was poor defensively (which I struggle to have a go at him for as he’s a winger not a defender) and beyond wasteful going forward. Crossing was pathetic, passing and positioning were consistently poor and these are basics he should be excelling at in this system. I think for a lot of people (Not El Cheesey obviously) the thought of Neto far exceeds the actual ability of Neto. You picture a quick direct winger, you get an out of position, terrible touch, unable to cross, poor decision making wide man. Essentially the Madeira Madueke. The point is moot because at full strength he doesn’t start for us, he becomes the 4th choice RB (Palestra, Gusto & James) and 6th/7th choice attacking option (JP, CP, Rogers, Stevie, Quenda, Welbeck) and this whole thread can go to the Jackson graveyard.

Vintage Blues pictures and film
Way more than 28 K at the Bridge. I’m not sure how many other clubs fiddled attendance figures to lower tax bills? They’re always been one man upmanship amongst fans; especially with youngsters. Can imagine conversations along the lines of “ Chelsea only had 28 thousand in for an important game. Come to Spurs, we get 35 thousand “ etc etc

What's your point exactly? You make it sound as if people saying neto is better than palmer in general which is obviously not the case but that doesn't mean palmer can not have a poorer game than neto. Take the arsenal game for example, while neto might not have a stellar game, he certainly had a decent game compared to other Chelsea players but your view is constant that he always played very poorly. You went hyperbole with praise for the player you like (or sexually attracted) and grossly criticize the player you don't fancy at every opportunity regardless of his performance. This only proves you're bias in your review. Just out of curiosity, do you have a thing for males? Because you seem to be the only one here who view at player in sexual way.
