Don't get excited about it, but normally feel we have a tough game there. Main worry is finding a bar with it on tomorrow morning, as in Belize at present so 10:30 am kick off 5. +1, Joey Jones was a great lad.Managed all home and most away games around then, team were pretty sh1t, but fans were top class. Don't go to many home games now because of business commitments, but still make the odd away game in Europe, and semis / finals t Wembley... As the saying goes, " I was there when we were sh*t"

Testimonials are a thing of the past. They were a good idea when players earnt like 2 or 3 times the average wage, retired at 32 or whatever, and then went on to run a pub or bookies, but pointless now they're all millionaires, unless they hold the testimonial and then donate proceeds to charity...

Touch of irony on the story on BBC website today? Six Irishmen visiting Merseyside for a charity cycle ride in memory of the Hillsborough victims have had their bikes stolen outside Anfield. Merseyside Police said five bikes were stolen from a van parked near the ground while the group were on a tour of Liverpool FC's stadium on Saturday. The group had been planning to take part in the Ride For The 96 starting at the Sutton Leisure Centre in St Helens. Liam Mulcahy, 34, one of the six, said they were "shocked" at the theft. Sort of sums up the place really?

Agree mate, used to do a lot of away games in the early - mid 80s, little group of chaps, not looking for any trouble but always had a laugh. No issues at West Ham, WHL, Highbury etc, Leeds was fun, but no blades used. One of my mates was slashed (not badly, but not the point, only ruined his leather jacket) by the 'loveable scallies' outside Anfield when he got separated from the rest of us by mistake, making his way back to the cars.Main group only had a bit of verbals but funny how they grew a pair when they found an individual fan. Hated them with a vengeance ever since, and the night their chairman blamed us at Heysel totally did my head in.
