Carefree Youth (who I’ve always found quite reliable) has said just under 10 minutes ago that Silva has had his medical, signed the contract and should be unveiled this afternoon.

We don’t need them as back up defenders when they didn’t defend as starting defenders!!!! Might as well put a horse on the bench and let them play back up. This bitter taste in my mouth sure is hard to get rid of.

I can kinda see why some fans aren’t majorly thrilled (although no need for outright insults) because we could end up with another Sidwell, Drinkwater, SWP, Parker (not his fault, it was that injury) situation in terms of English signings but we could also end up with a Lampard, Ashley Cole or Joe Cole. I think he’ll do well and if he’s got a manager who believes in him I really do think that will help.

If Chilwell’s announcement was done via a tube video I’m hoping we get the white cliffs of Dover for this guy (if he signs).

The amount of bloody helicopters that will be flying in & out of Cobham, they’ll cause havoc to flight paths.

I’m solely relying on media reports which is pointless to be honest. Just seems like we’ve been told the deal is close since the weekend, I would have thought it would be pretty swift after that. But three days later? Maybe it isn’t close. But again I don’t know how transfers work and I’m going by Twitter, so I’ve really nothing to base my opinion on.

Jokes aside he’ll either stay or it’ll be Man City in my opinion. If nothing else for Man City the shirt sales will be immense.

I wonder if this will get announced today. As someone who obviously knows the ins & outs of player transfers it does seem to have dragged on a bit. I mean I’m taking that from when random Twitter users have said it was a done deal... So yes, with the reliability of Twitter and my inside knowledge of million pounds football transactions... this does seem to be taking it’s time.
