Absolutely agree. I think it would be the perfect time to shake things up, bring in some fresh talent and fully embrace the new attacking football.

At this point I think he probably would go, but its worth remembering he stuck around when we had bad times in the past. He's been far more loyal than I ever expected when we first signed him.

He was injured and then made clear he wanted to move. It's not quite as simple as just him being benched by a 19 year old.

I mean that with him in the team we’re not playing the way the manager wants us to. Napoli were quick and incisive, we’re slow and ponderous. Why? Well I’m no expert but it seems like we quite often get the ball up front without many of their defenders back, but then Eden and Willy slow things down and then very quickly we’re trying to get past 8-9 players instead of the initial 3-4. You’re right that we haven’t looked amazing without Eden but that kind of makes sense. The team need to learn that fast attacking football, and if we’re not playing it most games because he’s there, we’re not suddenly going to be experts at it on the rare occasion when he’s missing.

Why does it matter if the team think he’s wrong, as long as they carry out his instructions to the best of their ability? They’re players not coaches, it’s a totally different skill set.

Do you not think it’s a little odd though that despite having a squad (minus Hazard) that is clearly top 4 quality, we always seem to be relying on Eden to win games for us? I’m not saying it’s definitely true, but it’s starting to feel like he might be the reason we aren’t advancing as a coherent team. He’s clearly not playing football the Sarri way, so does it really benefit us that he pulls us out the sh*t maybe half the time? If he moved on, maybe we wouldn’t need someone pulling us out the sh*t at all.

Maybe it’s time people stopped telling the manager what they think he’s doing wrong, and actually do what he tells them instead. How can we expect him to succeed, if he’s constantly being second guessed all the time?

How has he alienated all the young players for goodness sake? He's played the youngsters more than any other manager we've had recently. As for Sarri not having won anything, so fecking what? He's our manager and he was hired to change the way we play football. Yet apparently instead we have to back the players over him, regardless of whether they actually do what he tells them? Nah, I'm sick of the players determining the direction of this club, time for the manager to be given the control.

Genuinely believe its time to sell Eden and Willian, and let Sarri build a squad of his own players. I'm so tired of watching Chelsea teams slumping after every decent season. Chelsea for f**ks sake, the team that used to not give up no matter what. Time to become a team again, not just 10 guys supporting Hazard. I love the guy, I'm incredibly grateful to him for providing us with so much magic and joy over the years, but we can't continue like this. Sarri's system requires fast, reactive ball movement, and over half a season in, we have Eden and Willian still slowing up every attack and wandering at defenders with the ball at their feet giving defences all the time in the world to get back. Time for change, and not at the manager position.

Looked great. Especially in the first half he was making some lovely runs, and just oozed class. Already very excited to see what he can do for us this season.

Apparently the bench were standing on the touchline to watch the penalty shootout, and Gianfranco told them all to squat down so the fans on the bottom tier behind them could have a clear view. God I love this guy.

I'd be interested to see what our possession was in the first half when we were dominating. That was one of the best halves I've seen us play for a long time.

Pep finished 3rd in his first season. Klopp finished 8th. The league wasn't nearly as competitive at that time for either. I still think we're good for 3rd as long as Higuin gives us a bit of a lift.

People have been asking for that for years, and it never happens. You'd have to think there's probably a good reason why not. Also I don't know much about his past history before us, but he played in the 10 when he was at Shakhtar Donetsk and they came to the Bridge to play us in the CL.
