It's my sister's birthday on Tuesday (a big one!) so I hope it will be announced then. But I wish it was on Saturday so I'd have time to order her a moonpig card with Jose on the front - but I am NOT going to tempt fate!

Argghh! Yelled at the radio (radio 4) this morning when they questioned whether he was a good role model to captain England! Yeah, like Ryan Giggs was when he captained GB last year.... but as he's the golden boy, who mentioned that. Or Rio. Or Wayne Bloody Rooney was mentioned as a possible captain.......

Since he was appointed, I've been so looking forward to the day it's confirmed he's going, I've been planning the champagne, or at least a good bottle of wine. I When we were doing so badly back in December, I was checking the sports pages, anticipating the news that he'd gone. But he didn't. And now it's come, it's a bit of a damp squib. He can't even give us the satisfaction of a decent celebration! Meh! Maybe I'll crack open the bubbly when Jose comes, but even that is being diluted by expectation - if it had been announced out of the blue imagine the celebration! (tbh although I've said all that, I did open a bottle of wine to celebrate the fact he's gone).

I wouldn't say I'm an out and out fan but I have liked his stuff in the past - but felt this was disappointing. Slow and a little boring. To be honest I saw it about a year ago and can't really remember much about it except I was expecting more but can't give a more incisive review than that. I know it's had good reviews but I didn't enjoy it much. Each to his own and all that.

Really? I was totally underwhelmed by this when I saw it. Had high hopes but was really disappointed. Felt that it was a great cast but the film didn't live up to expectations.

No worries, it's always interesting to learn of different people's perspectives - I had no idea that some would think goalies not belonging to football - and you obviously felt the opposite! I know the term keeper but wouldn't use it normally.

Yeah I agree I was just surprised that he thought goalies was a hockey term not football. But it doesn't matter :)

"keepers"? Maybe to you - but I agree with Arklord, to me they are goalies, always have been, always will be. Maybe it's an age thing?
