Totally agree - there's a phrase "there's no such thing as bad luck, only bad judgement" which can be changed in football to something like "there's no such thing as bad luck, only poor technique/ability (or whatever)". Bad luck would only be a perfect shot hitting a pigeon flying by or something similar (or maybe an opponent's shot being deflected into the goal by a beach ball thrown on the pitch by one of your fans, eh Liverpool? Naa that's karma!)

Some of us are just don't like counting our chickens until they're hatched, fully grown and got little chicks of their own (or at least fully out of the egg! And 3-0 no, but there have certainly been some last minute turn-abouts (think City last season) - so if you don't mind, you can start thinking about how you're going to cook your chicken when it's fully grown and us worriers will carry on watching for the first cracks in the egg to appear. (I think I may have been rewatching Jose's press conferences too much!)

Me too!! Partly because I worry about the egos of those concerned - if it's signed but not announced, that's one thing - and I'm beginning to hope it's that. But if it's "all-but-there" I worry that one can piss off the other and it all go tits up.

Great thread - well worth resurrecting. Being old I didn't realise that I's read the thread before until I noticed that I'd like a couple of posts! (And I just noticed - saddo that I am - that the lad in the second picture even had the apostrophe in the right place!)
