The man deserves an appreciation thread, no more so than after Sunday. There were fans around here who called him Cashley, Gullit4 had his 'Cashley' avatar for ages after he signed & I started that pathetic 100 reasons topic. Best left back in the world by a long mile. He might have done some, how shall I put it, unsavory things off the pitch but he doesnt come out as arrogant or even a spoilt brat in the interviews. Always calm and composed, exactly the way he is on the pitch. Shall I also add that he has handled some pretty nasty criticism from almost all quarters with great attitude.

This is why I have respect for Capello. Always says what he thinks and sticks by it like he did JT and like he has by saying rooney is an england flop.

Cole is the only world class player in the england squad. Winds me up when every creams over Gerrard as I really dont rate him.

I love that instinct he has for dropping back to the goal line at just the right moment. His goal line clearances must have saved us 20 or more goals over the years. I remember that thread Gem mentioned, although I'm pretty sure it was more like 500 reasons by the end. How wrong we all were.
