Having checked the BBC website I came across this rather amazing goal time statistic from the two recent European finals.

 

Chelsea v Benfica: Chelsea 59 minutes; Benfica penalty 68 minutes; Chelsea 90 minutes

 

Bayern v Dortmund: Bayern 60 minutes; Dortmund penalty 67 minutes; Bayern 89 minutes

 

I minute between each goal scored plus the middle goal in both games was a penalty. Amazing coincidence (and yes I have got too much time on my hands)

Spooky.

I noticed the similarities and mentioned about it in another thread (I called Bayern copycats). But, being the pedantic git that I am, I must mention that the winning goal in our final was scored on 90+3 so there was around three minutes between the winning goals. Still quite a coincidence.

I hate to be the pedantic one again, but Dortmund were the home side and played in a black and yellow striped shirt, while Bayern had a full red kit with some white details.

 

Palace were the home side in their match and their was closer to Basel than Bayern.

 

 

But yeah, the yellow ones lost. Sorry about that... Can't help myself sometimes.
