  1. Well I do, and many people perform atrocities throughout history, doesn't make it right. Too much of my family history has been blighted by cancer to put up with some twat using it as a light-hearted witticism, and then for some other tit to jump in and defend it is almost worse. At least the the original poster thought he was being clever and witty.
  2. I do accept that, what i don't accept is people using cancer as a derogatory term about a f**king football player. There's football and then there's the real world, serious, grown-up sh*t. Cancer is that, not some sort of teenage slang term for "just a bit pants, really"
  3. Might be "one small comment" to you, it's life and death for some people. And has no place in commenting about a player's abilities in a football forum. I hope you never have to experience cancer yourself, but you might not find it so funny if you do.
  4. You know you don't mean that. You're an educated lad, and you know there is a universe of difference between calling someone a parasite and claiming they are cancer. So now stop being argumentative for provocation's sake.
  5. Among w**kers, maybe. In civilised conversation it's a disgusting misuse of what is possibly the worst thing that could happen to someone. If you have family history and still treat that sort of comment as not offensive, then I'm not sure you understand the consequences.
  6. Sad times mate, when we have someone celebrating one of our own getting injured, another one referring to one of our players as a "cancer" and yet another listing a great percentage of the first team as "garbage" Not sure how long any of them have been Chels, but none of that is how I was brought up to support the team.
  7. Nice to see we're all keeping an open mind about this one, at least until he's actually signed.
  8. But nearly all (if not all) of those outlets are just reposting and reprinting the Sky rumours each time. If I post that Drogba is coming out of retirement to solve our striker problem, that is just made up bollocks. If enough twatters and "soccer" web sites repost that it will then become the received truth, but that neither makes it true or believable. But you might end up with a huge amount of smoke, but no fire at all.
  9. And you're wrong as well
  10. Ha ha ha. Now we are making a point using some washed-up, unemployed ex-manager pontificating on Al-Jazheera. (He might have a point, though.)
  11. I lost both parents and two grandparents to cancer - some f**kwit using it as a term of abuse for one of our own players is beyond disgusting.
  12. Jeezus @RIP Mourinho, I thought you'd got it by now. A couple of losses means the sky is falling in, the manager is a know-nothing arse, all the players are donkeys (except for my own personal favourites, obviously) and Abramovich never really wanted us in the first place and we're sh*t compared to Citeh/Dippers/Spuds/L'Arse/Man Utd/Anywhere that Eddie Howe manages and a night out in whatever Spearmint Rhino has become. Consistently fickle, our lot :)
  13. The first bit, you're wrong it's grossly hyperbolic. If nothing else, just read in here and Willian and Jorginho both rival him for that title according to the many, many football geniuses we have as members, but then f**king CANCER???? Really?? You really are some sort of truly thoughtless and ignorant twat, using something like cancer when talking about a f**king football player. Regardless of your total lack of insight and awareness, I do hope that neither you or any of your loved ones are ever hit by cancer, so that you never have to personally know how offensive you are. Prick.
  14. I stayed clear too All I'll say is that I NEVER expected us to get bullied by Arsenal. Ever. And we did.
  15. And finished 10th and 5th in the seasons either side of that. Past performance isn't always a reliable indicator. Maybe the title-winning season was the anomaly.
  16. What scares me most is once we gets out of that top 4 position, I don't think Sarri have it in him to motivate the team to get back to a champions league spot. Same here bro, it still kills me when I think about it. Yeah Conte wasn't happy because the board don't support him, but he is that can of manager that will will drag a sh*t team with him to success. He really overachieved in his two seasons here. Is it me, or do you only EVER turn up to post in here just after we lose a match?
  17. Becoming part of the human race would be a start on Merseyside.
  18. Spurned clubs and "off the record" journalists are probably giving out mostly bollocks, most of the time. I seriously doubt any mainstream journalist is asking questions like "Why can't you get rid of X?" Some agents I'll give you, with the proviso that if my agent was publishing my wages I would soon have a new agent, and I suspect that any loose-lipped agent would fairly soon find that he had very few clients. BUT, even if you accept that some agents might leak people's wages, I find it totally unbelievable that the agents of our entire first team squad have published their clients' exact wages in the way presented above.
  19. Why are Everton working in Euros?
  20. OR, we could stop getting wound up by someone's guesses about how much people are earning. We have no actual clue what wages players are on, as neither the club nor the players publish that. That only leaves the income tax people to release this critical information. And I doubt that has happened.
  21. Isn't he?
  22. really? FFS, I thought the "comedy" sensibilities of Jim f**king Davidson and Bernard Manning were long consigned to history. Didn't think I would see something like this in the 21st century, EVEN in a football forum.
  23. Can you tell us old buggers what this ACTUALLY means? Oh, and isn't it a sad reflection on our times that we have people apportioning blame already, before the loan/transfer is even announced?
  24. wooohooo - feisty bugger, this one. Totally wrong, but feisty.
