Very true he rescued us when we were a million pound in debt and left us 80 million pound in debt. Why did Roman buy us , because we were for sale and about to go under . Bates did a lot of great things for us but also came very close to ruining us We would have been ruined before Ken came if he hadnt..........and could well have been conference now!!!!...........he had an almighty job rescuing us from Marler Estates and he did it Bates was one of 4 potential buyers at the time and the only reason he brought us was beacuse he couldn't buy QPR so to spite Thompson he brought us. No doubt he fought some mighty battles for us along the way and sold us to someone who could take us to the next level but he also got in the region of £28 million quid for his trouble pound well spent in my book . The other buyers wanted the land........Ken wanted the football team........big difference.......Martin Spencer who was in charge of Chelseas debt before Ken arrived lived next door to him and he got him involved and Ken was keen to be involved in a club that had debts of 1.6m!!........hell of a lot back then.......he deserves what he got and we didnt moan when we started reaching Cup Finals and at least pushing a top 5/6 in the league.....we hadnt done that too often had we

You're unlikely to have to witness it again in a Chelsea shirt at Stamford Bridge. As far as the match was concerned it was a very anti climactic end to the league season. Not so much because Utd won - I think most of us expected that- but just because of the late equaliser. Had we won and finished level there would still have been a real feel good factor around the place. Instead there was a really subdued atmosphere when the players came out for their lap of appreciation. The goal just served as a reminder of what has held us back so often this season - in fact it couldn't have summed up the season any better. It may be a blessing though as we were in danger of letting a couple of very good performances against Utd and Liverpool cover up some pretty ordinary play over the last part of the season. Spot on there i think the Man Utd first half has helped cover over a lot of cracks

I dont agree with a playoff.........or in fact play offs in general (we were the first team relegated by them)......Its our own fault for getting one goal in games and sitting on it.....Everton and Wigan(although Kirkland played well we still wasnt over convincing) come to mind!!..........Utd get one and go for more we havent done that for an awful long time
