  1. Exactly right. You look at the other thread about "players worth keeping", and within reason we have come up with the same names: Palmer, Caicedo, Estevao, Cucurella, James, Acheampong, Colwill, Lavia, Santos, Pedro. That's 10 players and some of those are squad players. I hear the lazy "expert" pundits say Chelsea have a great squad and LR coming out with lines about "incredible group of players", but when you analyse it, that's bo**ocks. We have a few VERY good ones, some decent and some with potential, the rest are nowhere near good enough.
  2. That didn't go well v Everton so hopefully not. My preferred line up would be: Sharman-Lowe Acheampong Sarr Hato Cucurella Lavia, Santos Estevao, Palmer, Derry JP
  3. This insistance with trying to play out from the back when we haven't got the players capable of doing it, is just absurd. Watching that first half v Everton Saturday evening and I'm past the point of even getting angry. Our defenders are that inept, they just look for the easy way out and pass it back to Sanchez when you know he is going to f**k-up. It's so predictable. Surely, once you've seen Sanchez f**k-up once, you don't pass it back to him - even if that means hoofing it up the pitch, but oh no, we carry on until we get punished and then all the players look at one another as if they had no idea that was going to happen. What happened to footballers with brains FFS?
  4. After that dreadful performance against Everton, you could easily go on to every player topic on this forum and have a rant so it’s easier to do it under one new topic. None of the starting 11 merited more than a 4/10 and many proving that they’re just nowhere near good enough. So we've done it a few times in the past and I think it must be time to do it again - starting with the 11 who played on Saturday: Sanchez. Guy has proved time and again what a complete clown he is. Get Rid. Gusto. What is the point of Gusto? You see him in the starting 11 and think, here we go again – another game of nothingness. Sees more of the ball than anyone yet creates less than anyone. Complete waste of space. Get Rid. Fofana. These days seems to have as many mistakes in him as Badiashile and Disasi and is a lazy f**ker with it. Get Rid. Hato. Not as bad as some but that’s not saying much. Would keep and hope for an improvement. Cucurella. His levels have clearly slipped, but that could be down to who he has to play with the constant changes at the back. Keep. Lavia. I like Lavia but he’s clearly rusty and not 100% fit. Hope he get’s over the injury issues as he could be a great asset. Keep. Caicedo. Form has nosedived somewhat and he could really do with some time on the bench. Keep. Enzo. Just not a PL player. Another 90 minutes of bang averageness – on Gusto levels. Get Rid. Neto. Was he sulking as he had to play left? Hardly involved and another waste of space. Get Rid. Palmer. I never criticise Palmer ‘cos he is clearly head & shoulders above the rest of them. But he too looked disinterested Saturday. Also has started going down way too easily when hardly touched which I hate to see. Needs better players around him and let’s hope he gets over the groin issue and we see him back to his best. Pedro. Had a purple patch but has now reverted to a very frustrating player who also doesn’t look up for a scrap. Quality on his day but has to do it more often. Garnacho. Ridiculous signing. One that our SD’s clearly got a hard-on over when no supporter thought he was worth signing and so he has proved. Get Rid. Santos. Decent player but another who has regressed a bit. Maybe not surprising when he gets rotated so often when he sees Enzo playing nearly every minute of every game. Delap. I had hopes for Delap but oh dear. Currently looks like a Championship level player if that. Tosin. Along with Badiashile & Disasi, combined three of the worst centre back signings we’ve made and there have been many. Get Rid. Estevao. At last, a positive. A wide man that actually looks to take defenders on and make something happen. Play him every game until the end of the season. Sarr and Essugo – keep as squad players. Acheampong. FFS WHY is this lad not getting more minutes? I really hope they are not playing him because they are looking to sell, when he is one of the few defenders we have that is worth keeping. Play him every game until the end of the season. Add James, Colwill and Chalobah to the Keep list (although Chalobah more of a squad option than starting every week). Rosenoir. I was happy to see the back of Maresca – couldn’t stand the bloke and his boring brand of football. But LR was clearly not the man to bring in. Young and totally inexperienced and now cutting a sad figure on the touchline. It’s crazy after all the money spent, that we have such a poor and unbalanced squad with many of that squad needing to make way if we have any aspirations of challenging for honours. But I have little hope that our Board will (A), make the desired changes to the squad or (B) bring in a coach who isn’t a yes-man, so unless something extraordinary happens I can’t see anything changing and that means we really are in for a very bleak period in our club’s history.
  5. He does look dreadful again under LR, but I hate any suggestion that he's a good keeper if you "play to his strengths". If a keeper has as many glaring weaknesses in his game as Sanchez clearly has, he has no right to be playing at this level. He's a clown, End of. Don't want to see Sanchez or Jorgensen for the remainder of the season - honestly don't care who we put in goal as long as it's neither of them.
  6. Don't think his drop off in form and laziness has anything to do with injury. Think that just comes with "I'm Billy Big bo**ocks playing for Chelsea and I'm on £200k per week no matter how I play". And of course he's French as well......................
  7. Make that two haters. Be glad to see the back of him and his annoying gormless expression (the one he uses for every occasion!)
  8. His recent sh*t performances must have even @just thinking perhaps Badiashile isn't so bad after all!!
  9. He has very quickly become a dead man walking. But we are such a sh*t-show, it really doesn't matter who they replace him with as you know it won't be anyone worthy.
  10. He IS our 90 minute man. But the question has to be, has there ever been another player to play 90 minutes so often when looking absolutely bang f**king average?
  11. Absolutely abysmal tonight - to a man. We made Everton and their striker (who probably won't score again this season) look World class. Dewsbury Hall (so much more effective than £100m Enzo), must be counting his blessings that he doesn't play for the shower of sh*t that is CFC anymore. Everton showing what can be done if you play as a team and play for the shirt. They wanted it 100% more than we did with some of our lot looking disinterested. Pickford showing what a proper keeper is and does. Sanchez again shocking, as were our defence, in fact the whole of the team. Pedro has gone from hero to zero in a matter of a weeks. FA Cup is all we have to play for now and I don't expect us to win that either.
  12. Don't care whether he plays at RB or CB, but just want to see the lad PLAY. No way should he be behind Tosin and Badiashille in the pecking order.
  13. More than happy to see him move on but just can't see any club willing to part with big money for him. IF he does leave, expect @loz to be just as inconsolable as he was when CHO left.
  14. Beautifully summed up. Have lost count of the CFC supporters who have said something along the lines of "I have never felt so detached from the club I've supported all my life", myself included. Got to the stage where you don't want to care, but you can't help yourself - it's in your blood FFS. Last season under Maresca, I hated it - then towards the end we picked up, and then won the CWC blowing away PSG and you think "hold on, maybe they ARE onto something................" But no. We then make pointless signings like Garnacho just to add to previous crap and pointless signings, don't address the areas that really needed addressing and we look a million miles away again from being the club who challenged for major honours. It's not even that most of us crave success - we just want to see good football and our club run in a proper manner. Instead, I f**king hate it.
  15. Gooners will take the success however it is achieved this season. It's just like us when Mourinho took over. We didn't care how we won the league as long as we won it. Not saying that Mourinho side was tedious like Arsenal now. We played some brilliant stuff. But after the first season, I do remember starting to get fed up with how we would see out a lot of 1-0's and the football did take a turn for the worse. And Roman clearly got fed up with it and I can recall it was widely reported that he wanted to see us win playing more exciting football. If next season, Arsenal are still winning games due to set-pieces and boring football, even their supporters will turn.
  16. All I'm reading about is how sh*t the PL has become - it's coming from all quarters. Obviously, we've had a sh*t few seasons since BlueCo took over, but majority of clubs supporters are all saying the same thing (with exception of Gooners as they've never had it so good). The PL has become DULL. And as if the boing football wasn't enough, when you add in all the price increases, VAR and questionable running of the PL by the FA, how long before the bubble bursts? Supporters of Everton, Forest and Leicester who have all seen points deductions for their teams, must rightly be pissed off when we only suffered a hefty fine yesterday and City are still not being penalised for their 115 charges. It's all a bit of a mess.
  17. Out with the Mrs tonight so for the first time in ages I won't even be keeping an eye on the game. In the past, there would have been a major row if Mrs had arranged something when a CFC game is on, but it just shows where we are as a club right now that I'm not at all bothered.
  18. Little bit suspicious. Has been injury free for ages, signs a new extended contract and suddenly, "Ooh, my hamstring's seems to be playing up................................!!"
  19. Unless you're an optimist and would like to see him lift the FA Cup at Wembley. But I'm no optimist, so yeah, rest him.
  20. I do get where you’re coming from. We do have much bigger issues with Keeper, centre backs, wide players and strikers (bar Pedro), so folk moaning about Enzo (I’m as guilty as anyone), does seem like we just moaning for the sake of it. I just think sometimes, we see Enzo as the straw that broke the camel’s back. He’s like a jack of all trades, master of none. I think he does okay at times, but rarely more than okay. Think majority of us would like to see a bit more of Santos and Lavia and even Essugo (with RJ playing at right back where he should be), meaning both Enzo and Caicedo get rotated a bit more.
  21. Even though he's clearly nowhere near fully fit, Cole Palmer contributed a whole lot more than Enzo.
  22. Can't be bothered to even look at that. You go whatever lengths you want to try and back-up your opinion that Enzo is some great talent. He's not. I know Odegaard isn't in best form for the Gooners this season but in other seasons I have seem him dominate games and make the sort of passes that Enzo could only dream of. Enzo is just a decent squad player who shouldn't be getting anything like the minutes he currently is.
  23. His football is Dull with a capital D. I honestly can't see him getting the City job although I hope he does as I would expect City to go the way United did after Fergie.
