West Ham v Chelsea (PL) 11th Sept 2010 15:00 BST
delighted with the win of course, very mediocre midfield leading Drogs and Anelka to be playing too deep with no service. Pissed to let in the first goal against us in 18 games (I think) but with the manks hilariously getting a draw ..........

most emotional moment
there are a lot of emotional moments for me - hearing that ruud and hughsie signed for us on the same day, I just knew we were into a new era of football, winning the FA cup in 97 having gone to every game that year too, not forgetting beating Liverpool 4-2, all the league titles but this year getting the double. The CWC in Stockholm was amazing, losing the FA cup in 94, going to the Bridge to leave flowers when Matthew Harding died and standing in silence with hundreds of others. All those awful games we have lost, just missing going down, going back up, Sunderland at home with horses on the pitch, going down.

Getting it better the second time round
Blue Beard Tim Hardin used to come play in a little coffee bar I worked in in NW London in the 70s but I do agree Rod the Mod's version is better. Have seen them both sing it. Janis's Me and Bobby McGee is a better version of Kris Kristofferson's original and also better than the Grateful Dead's version. I do not think a lot of Jimmy Buffet's take on Scarlet Begonias although he does a passable Weather With You.

Best stand
I have sat in most areas of the bridge. The best views are central East or West Upper but you lose out on atmosphere. The West Stand executive seats are the very very worst for atmos because there are barely any Chelsea supporters there and it's all corporate and foreigners. The EU is boring from the singing point of view most of the time, but at least it's hard core season ticket holders who get to know each other and I always had fun, though I had been siting with the same crowd for 40 plus years from when my dad moved to the EU from the old North Stand in the 70s. I don't like sitting behind the goals, and I really hate being in the first couple of rows at the front of any stand, too close and no perspective on the game. have fun wherever you are sitting

Wigan vs Chelsea MOTM
drogs for me, involved in so many of the goals, brought a lot of balls down from midfield. And he didn't sulk.

The next bands you are going to see?
great night last night, Winwood as expected, a few new and mostly old songs, he played around 9 numbers including Dear Mr Fantasy, Low Spark and Can't Find My Way Home. Onto Santana - never seen Carlos play before he really is an amazing guitarist - 2 solid hours of terrific music, 11 musicians on stage, lots of old hits and the band was super tight. Next gig for me is Neil Young in Sept then CS and N a week later - wonder if NY will join his old friends (foes?) or one of them will join him (SS?).

Last Movie You Watched
I watched From Dusk To Dawn over the weekend, it started great and then just disintegrated into a pile of sh*t.

Worst World Cup Ever?
it was a crap final, one goal in 118 minutes. Way too many bookings for a final, awful tactics from Holland. Agree the atmosphere was ruined by vuvuzelas, didn't see one Mexican wave.

Ugliest world cup player
Not surprisingly, Shrek was voted the ugliest player in the world cup by a dating site vote, with England being the second ugliest team behind Algeria. The English WAGS were voted the most attractive. Spain and Italy one of the most attractive teams. Only Calamity James made the list of dateable football players coming in 11th place.

The next bands you are going to see?
Santana are playing with Steve Winwood to open - I can't miss this one because the arena is small. Also got tickets for Neil Young acoustic set in September.

World Cup 2010 Quarter Finals Matches 3 & 4
the Argies were England in disguise - defence wide open, no imagination, no playmaker, no real attacks.
-
England v. Germany
arghhhhhhhhhhh very disappointing but nothing less than expected to be honest. The defence was wide open, Rooney was sh*t.
