Was just watching a few clips on youtube when i came across the lampard penalty against liverpool in 2008 and was wondering, what is the most emotional moment you've had as a fan of chelsea, for me,its the one mentioned,i remember watching live and i forgot about the importance of him scoring,i just wanted frank to score for him and his family,it was one hell of a roller coaster that night and i admire frank for taking responsibility after the week he had, had.

2 spring instantly to mind, watching Claudio take to the field after beating the arse crying his eyes out was so emotional, I dont mind admitted I was close to tears myself. 2nd one for me was when Lamps`s 2nd goal went in against Bolton for our first title in 50 years, I definitely did weep a little after that one (and massive amounts of Champagne)

Wayne Bridge goal - Claudio at Highbury, I almost forgot that one.

2 games v Middlesborough spring to mind.

FA cup WIN in 97 - It was the one that really started the ball rolling, against an old foe!

Getting relegated at home to Middlesborough in the play-off's. Angry, frustrated and the word 'gutted' doesn't even come close, I was reduced to tears.

Last year, Spurs away - I though they'd cost us the league. Was well pissed off!!

(And that game against Liverpool, I left the ground feeling like I'd played!!!! I still couldn't tell you the score on the night, I was to busy working out the ''what if's'', I know if they scored again we were out after Babel nicked one back) That game left me drained.

Many moments of highs and lows, but none came close to the 2008 penalty mentioned in terms of sheer emotion. He struck the ball with such authority, celebrated so emotionally, the camera showed the empty seat next to Frank Sr., and he had (in my mind anyway) vanquished our hated CL foe at long last. I had a few tears right then, but how could you not? He was going through one of the toughest periods in his life and rose to the occasion at the biggest moment when nobody expected he would even play.

Definitely a moment I will never forget.

Vialli scoring the 4th against Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Claudio's celebration after Bridge scored at the Library. Totally from the heart, you'd need a heart of stone not to be moved by it.

Then for completely different reasons, him screwing it all up in Monaco.

JT's winner against Barca in '05. Absolutely hit the roof.

JT's miss in Moscow.

Iniesta's goal against us in that game.

I was absolutley devastated with how the game played out after such a brilliant performance from the team and a brilliant goal from essien.

there are a lot of emotional moments for me - hearing that ruud and hughsie signed for us on the same day, I just knew we were into a new era of football, winning the FA cup in 97 having gone to every game that year too, not forgetting beating Liverpool 4-2, all the league titles but this year getting the double. The CWC in Stockholm was amazing, losing the FA cup in 94, going to the Bridge to leave flowers when Matthew Harding died and standing in silence with hundreds of others. All those awful games we have lost, just missing going down, going back up, Sunderland at home with horses on the pitch, going down.

Wonderful thread . Emotional moments define our jouney being a chelsea fan . I 've had many good moments and sad moments too ..

Iniesta scoring against us in the CL semis was my saddest moment as a chelsea fan . I was devastated and even my 2 friends who are arsenal fans were sad for the chelsea players that night . It was like every football fan in the world except the chelsea fans wanted us to lose the match and see barca through . I wish I were at the stadium along with drogba and ballack and hit anyone who came our way !

To avenge that loss , I would wish chelsea to draw Barca in a 2 legged tie in the CL and inflict damage to their reputation like no one had done it before . My sincere wish !!

I had tears running down my chin when we said goodbye to Guus.

"We want you to staaaaay, Guus Hiddink we want you to stay."

When Hasselbaink scored against us for Charlton and we sang

"Oh, Jimmy Jimmy. Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink."

The applause and singing when Ossie had past away before Tottenham at home.

Jumped up and down on the floor screaming in front of the TV when Gallas scored.

"Born is the King of Stamford Bridge"

Frank's goal at Reebok in 2005.

Terry's goal against Barca 2005.

Robben's goal at Ewood park 2005.

4-2 against Liverpool.

Zola's goal in the cup winners cup '98.

Bridge's goal against Arsenal.

Frank's second goal against Bolton that sealed our first league trophy for 50 years. Nothing else comes close.

When Frank raced through, I got a lump in my throat at the anticipation. When he rounded the keeper, my knees went weak. When he stroked the ball into the back of the net, the whole neighborhood knew about it.

Just thinking back about it brings my hairs on end.

Cheers,

Butch

Witnessing Dave Webb scoring our winner at Old Trafford in the 1970 Cup Final Replay against Leeds, and then seeing Ron Harris lift the FA Cup for the first time in our history, moments I'll never forget. The victory parade after our 1971 ECWC win was also pretty special.

Frank's pen against Liverpool is a big one for me. Such an amazing match to start, but seeing Frank step up to the plate and deliver a perfect penalty in extra time in a Champions League Semi-Final, that takes guts, full respect for one of the greatest midfielders of my generation.

The 4-4 match was a rollercoaster of emotions. 2-0 down at half-time, I was panicking, panicking, panicking. I was crocked after a ski accident watching the match, but when we went 3-2 up, I leapt off the sofa and quite literally hopped around the living room screaming with joy, same again with Frank's second to completely seal the deal at 4-4. One of the great matches at Stamford Bridge, I think.

The Chelsea 2 - 1 Liverpool to seal our CL qualifications back in 2003 was pretty special, add in Zola's final appearance and you have a tear fest. Amazing.

This one is more of a hindsight emotional moment, because I bore witness to Zola's last ever Chelsea goal in our 4-1 thumping of Evertin back in 2003, he scored a superb chip from the corner of the 18 yard box to finish off the win. My favourite Chelsea memory so far, that one.

Can't not mention the CL Final though....after completely dominating the whole of the second half and extra time, Drogs hitting the post, Lamps hitting the bar, THIS save at 25 seconds by JT:

When JT stepped up, I thought he was going to do it. He'd done heroics that night, this would put the icing on the cake. But when he slipped, I was on the verge of tears. My heart sank, I knew it wasn't going to end well after that. Horrible, horrible night. Time to put things right at Wembley in May, I think.
