Are you saying Bowie's Port of Amsterdam is better than Jacques Brel's? :Connie_threaten:

Are you using Internet Explorer by any chance? That would also explain it... if you're not though, I have no idea at all.

Here's a few...

Al Green show The Bee Gees how it should be done...

Much as I like Eddie Cochran, The Who performed the best ever version of this one...

Otis is obviously a legend, but Aretha took this one a step further...

Great song by Tim Hardin, but this is the best version - by Rodders...

I'm not a big Sinead O'Connor fan, but she did a couple of brilliant covers

Elton John may have got to #1 with his version, but Sinead's cover is far superior...

And Prince probably realised he'd never be able to compete with her cover of this...

Sorry I took so long to get back to you, I was watching something on TV...

Internet Explorer isn't capable of rendering HTML5 right now, and certain videos on Youtube are now HTML5 (or related technologies at least). So you won't be able to see the videos properly in Internet Explorer. Right now, I would recommend switching to either Iron browser (the same as Google Chrome, but doesn't track your identity in the same way), or Firefox (although it's starting to suffer from bloat and the over use of it is allowing for more sophisticated exploits).

That would appear to be the point of the thread.

Appearances are clearly deceptive in this case.

Je suis avec moi ici.

A man of taste!

Got to agree with Loz here, Bowie is obviously better than some sweaty frog ;)

Jacques Brel is Belgian - does that make it better or worse?

Worse, he was a French speaking Belgian - meaning he had the option to go Dutch but opted for French.

Lower than being French in the Bluebeard ladder of shame!

To go in line with the other threads which have popped up... how about some good remakes? Some of these are probably cheating, but f**k it.

No one does any song better than Judy Garland, least not Over the Rainbow!!!!

Absolutely, Loz, they're nearly as bad as those bloody froggy Canadians... ;)
