The thoughts of chairman Mou
''Mourinho said: "It's very difficult for [new Liverpool manager] Roy Hodgson as over the last three years they have been getting worse, worse and worse." You gotta love him!

With regard to clubs going to the wall, in all honestly, I think it's more to do with the bad management of football clubs, living beyond their means. (Leeds/Cardiff - Risdale) (West Ham/Portsmouth/Southampton - Redknapp/Storey) Kieron Dyer is doing exactly the same as Winston, but at a club in financial trouble. Chelsea could afford to have him rotting in the reserves, although we'd have rather got rid of him, but West Ham cannot get rid of Dyer (a) because he's always injured, (B) no-one wants him because he's past-it © he's not going to get those wages anywhere else. Have you heard Man City's new advert BTW: Webuyanyc**t.com Webuyanyc**t.com Webuyanyc**t.com any any any any... Webuyanyc**t.com - Any race, any size, any age, any price, From £50 to a Hundred Mill ! Enter your squad number now at Webuyanyc**t.com Still, I'm sure they all said the same when Roman came along, only we had won a few trophies before he arrived under Gullit and Vialli. City have been waiting 25 years, and I don't see Mancini quite in the same way Jose moulded us into Champions, he is more like Raneiri, only more defensive. They have money to burn at the moment, but if they don't deliver, like last season, it could be quite interesting.

City's wage bill won't be too high this year, I've heard they're on trophy-related bonuses :D

It's their year.....

Lescott at left-back? Where's Bridge or the fella they signed in the summer?

I thought one of the reasons the deal was almost off was Cardiff seeing if they could afford to pay half the wages. - Not sure where this was reported. If they getiing him for nothing then they have a massive advantage over their rivals, and the financial rewards it'll bring the club in shirts sales and ticket revenues.

I remember Jose's 2nd season, we'd played 12 won them and and hadn't conceded a goal. The Sun newspaper decided to award £25k to the next person who scvored against us. It was a Villa player who had to donate it to charity because it's against the rules for newspapers to give players cash bonuses. On a plus note, PaddyPower paid out on Chelsea in October that season I think

14,000 Attendance at Wigan Game - Sign of the Times?
Should Blackpool not be allowed into the league because their capicity is only 12k? Oh....... and QPR and Leeds are fine where they are thank you.

Step forward Didier Drogba
I've been defending Drogba on here for some time, he earned CFC POTY (How he never won Player of the year after scoring us to the double? I'll never know) and he's now getting the recognition he deserves. I just want him fit for the rest of the season!

It was an on-off deal based on Cardiff affording to pay half his wages with Man City. Seeing as he is currently a City player and they're wage billis astronomical, I'm assuming half his wages are still ridiculous for a club who have had their fair share of reported financial troubles recently. I'd also gamble on assuming that Bellamy wouldn't be going anywahere for a pay-cut.- Craig Bellamy
He'll tear that division apart, however, his wage demands may tear Cardiff City apart!- Sam Hutchinson Retires
If it's any consolation Sam, there are not many players who can say they played in a title winning side that scored 7 goals at home in 1 game (Stoke)- Gallas To Spurs
anagram of his name is LA SLAG I think I've been watching to much countdown!- Gallas To Spurs
I think we sold him at the right time, although I didn't believe it at the time.- Sam Hutchinson Retires
I can't add anything more than say I'm absolutely gutted for him, honestly, there are no words to discribe it. I wish him all the best in whatever he decides to go onto do!- Matthew Syed - an unsuitable case for treatment

I used to like him:- Lovely hypocrisy from UEFA
Like us at home to Barca! It was up to us to prove they smashed up our dressing-room, up to us to prove we had 4 serious penalty decisions turned down - not the referee, and it was also up to us to prove the steward didn't call Eto a monkey! making it up as they go along! UEFA and FIFA don't like the Irish do they!- Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals
You obviously wasn't at WHl Lane last season when they nearly f*cked up or chances of the title! I hope you meant to add *to save their humiliation for the group stages*- Does the loan system need an overhaul?
Fergie did this exact thing last season (or the season before, I think with Northampton), loaning player's to his son, who won promotion. It's just even more of a risk for teams in the same league, not letting players play against you, and Tim Howard, the Manu goalkeeper, playing against Manu for Everton, how did they get away with that one?- Craig Bellamy
Not even after Henry's handball? :D- Sheva style stitch up on the way ?
We won't sign Kaka, we've got Benayoun FFS!- Craig Bellamy
What about Ireland, Given and Lescott? I won't mention Santa Cruz because he was hardly a hit at City.
