Holland got to this years WC final and nearly ALL of their team do not play in their domestic league! The trouble with this new rule is that foreign players who have been coached in youth set-ups for 3 years qualify. What will happen at other clubs, which is already happening at Chelsea, is they will scout around Europe and the world to bring in the better kids, and have a youth set-up made up of foreigners who will all qualify as 'home grown' when ready. The English lads will contunie to be ignored, only now from Englsih clubs at Youth level!! - Wenger does have a point! But his point is because of the dramatic effect it'll have on his squad, not on the implications it has for our national team and future England generations. It is now OK to ignore English kids!!

Our 1st 3 goals were from set-pieces. There should be no excuses for letting in goals like that really. if they cannot defend set-pieces they will not stay in this division!!! OK we couldn't defend them last season, but we had over 100 PL goals in our locker, I don't think WBA have. Against the champions away, anything would have been a bonus for West Brom, but if the concede free-kicks and corners they cannot defend against the likes of Wigan, Wolves, West Ham, Blackpool, this could be the difference between survival and a yo-yo season.

And he's sharing a midfield with Joe Cole this year at Liverpool, they'll be all over the place at times, probably two of the most indiciplined players in England at the moment.

It'd be interesting to see a similar poll on here, would people put their blue-tinted spec's to one side? If I was a betting Man I'd back Man U this season, based purely on their attacking options, their previous track record under Fergie, and the players we've let go. Joe was handed the No10 role central behind the strikers) by Scolari but never managed a performance to warrant keeping the role. He played there a few times on other occassions but never really made a mark. Back heels and flicks are great when they come off, when they don't and posession is continually conceeded, it sticks out like a sore thumb.
