Training Ground
You could book your son into a football in the community course (if he's under 16) - they are held at the training ground normally in the summer and spring holidays- My son Franco is there all this week - three types of courses one for everyone one for goalies and one for advanced ( which is normally held at the academy with the academy coaches)- £80 for 4-5 days If your lucky there may be a youth game on on the academy match pitch and you can go early and sit and watch them( especially in pre season) - the senior players often stay to watch and you get to sit with them and have a chat.- last Year Abramovich landed in his helicopter and came with Hiddick to watch the kids train. The players have been training on the back pitches so far this week so the kids get to see them more than when they are on the front ones The details are on the website and the next course is on over the May Half Term Thats your best bet if you want to see the facilities there

Inter home: a plea for help
yep the touts are paying ticket holders £220 to get their hands on them so expect them to cost at least £300 My husbands mates sold theirs last week in 5 mins but not telling him in time so he's on his own now for the game Not sure if he'd sell but I'll ask him- but very little chance of getting one at face value with the prices they are going for- good luck in case

Right Hands up if you booed the team off........
It was a great game if you were a neutral but I wouldn't say two of Evertons goals were luck- I think thats belittling Everton and the effort they clearly put in For the first one if Cech doesn't touch it it goes out - ok maybe there was someone else to try and tap it in but the odds are better than if your keeper fumbles it into his own net For the third one - if Cech stays and doesn't come out into no mans land and freezes - he saves it -but he comes out Terry & Ricci think hes going for it and he stops and they are helpless Where is the luck in that? Thats bad defending and communication Drogba could have scored 3 goals of the season on Sat but it made no diff because we let 2 howlers in Everyone could sense that they would come back and thats something that is very unusual - we never conceed when we go ahead but we are vunerable and have lost that fight that lower table clubs clearly have- everyone wanted nice entertaining football but we have lost the battle and bulldog spirit that came before Give me that anyday over a "cracking game of football" that cost us 2 points

Right Hands up if you booed the team off........
The Brit Its not about first points dropped at home its the style they went about it Drogs and I forgot to mention Ivan were totally comitted - Lamps was ineffective( I don't know whether its the system or him but if you paid that amount of money and Carlo said to play right back you'd bloddy well be expected to give it your all) - Joe's legs are not withstanding more than 45 mins yet hes not subbed till near the end,Malouda who has been one of our best players gets an insult of an amount of time in which to help , and the poor kid who got 5 mins put more into it than many senior players on the pitch Ballack is a waste of space at present - his lack of pace doesn't allow him to create space and movementa nd he is turning into the Jody Morris of football who can the majority of the time only pass the ball sideways Cech gets Terry and Ricci flusterred because they don't know when he coming for a ball and not - this is not what you'd expect from a somewhat supposidly solid defence- also one that has leaked 5 goals in 2 games Something is wrong- thats 3 poor results on the trot - lets hope its our bad run out of the way but Everton wanted it more than us and that's why people get frustrated Not its not the end of the world but as many have pointed out we have just been papering over the cracks with recent results and if we're not careful the whole thing will fall down

Right Hands up if you booed the team off........
I didn't boo but I cetaintly didn't clap either- although for some strange reason about two out of 10,000 on the MHL did - was I watching a diff game? because there was certainly no reason to clap any of the players( apart from Drogs who just shook his head in belief every time he scored for a couple of overpaid numtys at the back to squander the lead) - who couldn't be arsed to clap the fans just couldn't wait to get off the pitch in my opinion I don't think however you can say that the boos all come from JCL's - the players were poor on Sat and they only have themselves to blame - they just didn't give 100% and that if anything is why people who have paid good and I might add hard to come by money at the moment - - the boos came from a fair majority of the crowd and all this about JCL's - if they are the ones putting bums on seats compared to others then they have every right to voice their opinions if the people who think they are old school but don't go for whatever reason thats their own fault - a football club needs a every growing fan base it can't survive with those who go to 2 games a season just because they went 20 years ago- get over it Its a label that is wearing a bit thin now If we had been beat by a superior side,a lucky deflection or bad referreing I can understand but to be beaten because we couldn't be arsed or seemed to forget the basic ruiles of defending and goalkeeping as was the case on Sat then anyone has the right to show their frustration A few boos is a minority - thats not what it was on Sat

So what's the general attitude towards Jimmy Greaves here?
I'll ask my dad and see if he got the photo from my Nan before she died I know he still has the velvet maroon cap and its a def a middlesex one and my Dad was born and still lives in Chelsea so I know he didn't play for Essex. My dad's 72 but I'll ask him again

So what's the general attitude towards Jimmy Greaves here?
I don't think he was an east end boy well not at 15 anyway My dad played with him for Middlesex County school boys ( but not sure how far the old boundaries went then) My dad went to Fulham but left at 20 I met him in Portugal once with my dad - seemed nice enough Haven't seen enough of him in action to comment on the footie - too young for all that

Things you don't see at football anymore
Cans of Hofmeister I used to serve in Bar 1 which was the main food in the East Lower back in the late 80's and had the worst job - opening cans of Hofmeister into plastic glasses when your fingers were so cold you couldn't get the ring pulls off and some bar lamb asks for 10 pints - aaagh

Kids safety watching games
I sit in the MHL between block 8 & 9 and have been taking Franco since he was three - he's now eight - I have never seen any trouble at a home game and he has sat with his dad behind the goal as well I would steer away from the blocks directly behind the goal in th MHL as little ones find it hard to see as everyone stands for most of the game and the language is at its most vocal Franco understands that we don't repeat what we hear at footie and changes the "naughty" words in songs so Joe Cole's sounds like " He's here he's there I'm not allowed to swear - Joey Cole Joey Cole" The Carling and FA Cup games have a big proportion of Kids so it may be best if they go to something like that

Cup Final Ticket Arrangements Announced
Well finally got them after not getting very far on the internet trying from 7am and still no joy and 9am I got on through the telephone at 9.05 Its clear the internet can't cope with the demand so why sell only 5% on phone and at box office - the girl said the queues at the bridge were long and winding - obviously people not wanting to take a chance with the internet - then to cap it all off they were having a problem processing visa cards so I had to pay with a cc Sort it out Chelsea The other solution would be to state the exact loyalty point level at which you would be guaranteed a ticket and give those people all day then there wouldn't be such a mad surge at 7 and 9am- not knowing if 65 and above would give you a rats hope of getting one - too easy for them to figure that one out

Chelsea's ticket sales
It was very quick We only just managed to get them as luckily enough the bloke who sits in front of me came round to do a plumbing quote on the Friday and told us I ended up at a funeral in the afternoon waiting for the hearse to arrive on the phone to the box office after ringing everyone else up to inform them It was very badly managed Maybe a call to the club might help - they sometime get returns I'm sure it will be the same for the cup final Last time it was only by luck someone walked past the ground to realise they were queuing from 1 oclock the day before and closed the ground to people by 9 pm when we were originally going to go down about 10 oclock that night to queue You need to be on the ball with Chelsea - they don't care because the seats will be sold whatever

What Will Happen To The Idea Of Building A Team From The Youngsters
It seems that no one has mentioned any of the young players we have at the academy/reserve level getting anywhere near the team ie stoch/gakuta/sinclair/mancienne etc I fear we are becoming a RM full of galaticos rather than as Arnesen was brought into do build a team from the roots upwards What kid is gonna want to sign for Chelsea when they have about as much chance of breaking into the team as Liverpool have of winning the league They can't compete with Ronaldino, Deco, Villa Why do we buy players at the end of their careers rather than at the beginning ( apart from Mikel)

Chelsea Vs Man Utd (THE FINAL)
You mean they all end with the word "station" in Russian? no they all seem to end with dov or dev and have very similar names quite unlike say the paris metro or the london tube to us it just seems like gobbledy goop when they are pissed it will be 10 times worse
-
Chelsea Vs Man Utd (THE FINAL)
just got a text from Mr Dean Arrived safely - although looks as if they were lucky as their plane left at 5.45am from Gatwick - i think there would have been murders if it had been their plane that broke down Have negotiated themselves around the metro to a bar that they found on a list I printed off for them and its full of Mancs!!! Anyway they are so parched they are having a quite pint and off to find the Chelsea area of Moscow - thats if they can understand the tube map all the names ended in the same bloody things !!! I'll update later if I hear anymore

Have we sold out?
I think they are sitting in piles on the touts desks - before they went on sale to members they were offering £400 each for them - we declined Can't give them away now

Who Exactly is going to Moscow - A few thoughts
Bluenut what sort of proof would they have of you were driving there!!! Surely they aren't gonna ring every airline and check and anyway that's giving out private information which I don't think any airline/co can do its data protection I understand if you are staying there they may need it for the consulate What did they turn you away for? Its just one of us are going down poss on Friday to collect the lucky ones their tickets and don't want to get caught out Thanks Sarah

Who Exactly is going to Moscow - A few thoughts
After speaking to loads of those around me in block 8 after the semi - not one STH is going near me Including an old guy who is on the away scheme and has been to 90% of all euro games in the last 4 years Then I asked my father in law who has been to most of them and until this season has a uk away ticket aswell Hes not going Nor am I My Hubby is - can only slightly afford for one to go and he is giving up his/our May Family holiday to stay and work ( Much to the anoyance of my mother) My dad who is 70 two days before has decided to take my mum away instead than pay £1k for a trip he will be too tired to actually watch the game Those who have actually said they are going hardly go to SB anymore maybe once or twice a year Therefore it is becoming for those who unlike us don't have to fork out upwards of £650 for next years ticket or haven't got over 100 loyalty points this year I suppose the club will say that most ST holders will buy tickets - yes to sell them to pay for next season Once again the loyal miss out and the unloyal reap the rewards - well done UEFA I suppose there are plenty of flights to Moscow from Korea & China!!! - probably cheaper than the £700 everyone else is being quoted for them

Signing off until Thursday
I'm sneaking off soon from work Sod if I'm getting stuck on a 19 for the best past of two hours dogging the tourists on Haymarket Meeting my Dad who by now should have deposited my mum and my son at my house Surrey( Thanks Mum I owe you big time) and driving back from surrey to chelsea for the game and then back tomorrow topick my mum up ( thanks Dad) Anyway nerves galore Don't know if I can hold out may be wanting a ciggie at the game tonight might all get a bit much And if the twat from "the health and safety committee for Silly Ideas" asks us to sit down again tonight he might get his mic shoved where the sun doesn't shine prefearbly followed by those enormous Corporate flags being waved from the west stand and then followed by the toffy nosed opera scarf flinging singer who attempts to sing "BITC" in a accent that would be more akin at Eton or Harrow!!! COME ON YOU BLUE BOYS!!!
