I think we still have a good chance. Madrid scored a lucky goal. Get Fofana off for Mudryk and hit them on the counter.

Sterling was sh*t last game too. In general though no one is standing out from our side.

Enzo is having a poor game for first time here. I would get Chalobah second half or mudryk and play 4.3.3

Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea Manager
What a brave decision by Boehly. It's absolutely the right one. He was completely out of his depth. Now we need a real leader who can motivate these players as we do have a good team to beat anyone out there.

Who do you want next as manager?
How about getting JT until end of the season and than offer him an assistant role to someone more experienced. Zidane would be my choice but apparently he speaks no English so its extremely unlikely he will ever manage in the Premier league.

We've got a new Kepa
He is shorter than Kepa!

We've got a new Kepa
Some would say we should have bought maignan when we had the chance instead of Mendy but we won the CL with Mendy and i hope he can still rediscover his form. Yes, Maignan is a good goalkeeper but the cost to get him from ac milan now would be huge and i dont even think that they would sell him. Plus he is just coming back from a serious injury. a world class striker or a world class defensive midfielder would instantly make this team a title challenging one and thats where our resources should go in my opinion.
-
We've got a new Kepa
Who else would you have instead of Kepa right now? Everyone says "ohh i would sell him" but who is his replacement? Kepa WAS a big liability and i was all for selling him. This seasons form though has being excellent. We need to give credit and praise for that.
-
We've got a new Kepa
There are dozens of other games that he saved us points. Goalkeepers mistakes are amplified. Personally I am very happy with his form, he has improved in alot of areas especially leadership and is entering peak years for a goalie. Plus people raving for Gaya and Pickford to replace Kepa just makes me laugh because they are even smaller than Kepa. I haven't given up on Mendy either so we have two decent keepers. Yes, i agree with you a word class goalkeeper would be ideal but where do you find him? In my mind a quality defensive midfielder and a striker are a priority for summer.
-
We've got a new Kepa
I am not saying Kepa is as good as Cech was but every keeper will make a mistake here and there. You cant tell me that this season kepa hasn't single handed saved us games. Besides we have other areas where investment is needed more so than a goalkeeper.
-
We've got a new Kepa
In my opinion Kepa has improved tremendously this year and so far he has had a good season. Every goalkeeper makes a mistake here and there even Cech did. Yes his height is slightly in a smaller side for a goalkeeper but he is similar height to Cudicini and taller than Raya that many people want here. Besides, there are not that many world class goalkeepers out there. Only one i can think of that is potentially world class but currently not having a good time is Donnarumma.

Playing Cucurella instead of Chalobah is criminal

Thats my thinking exactly. I don't see Potter getting fired any time soon unless we are threatened with relegation.

Who takes over from Potter if he goes?
Personally i like Pochetino as a manager, although I hate the fact he managed spurs. His playing style, formation 4.3.3 and the fact he gives young players a chance (he made delle ali look like world class for goodness sake) pochetino would suit our squad perfectly. Zidane would be my choice though, he has plenty of experience with egos and high pressure result driven with madrid to succeed with us. Gasperini is another one, Atalanta play beautiful football and have overachieved over the years despite selling their best players every year. Downside is that he is 65 now, plays mainly back 3 and last big team he managed Inter didn't not end well. Hansi Flick is an interesting one, he underachieved slightly with Germany but he was brilliant at Bayern, very organised, disciplined and ruthless. I can see him do well for us. I would offer no more than 3 years contract whomever we choose as manager.

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
I think he will be given until end of the season too, but i would be extremely surprised if they haven't started to search and analyse new candidates. The spurs game is vital for Potter, where I think we will win not due to Potter but players will be highly motivated to win a london derby.

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
In my opinion mr Boehly and co most probably are aware by now that Potter was a poor choice. However, its a difficult decision to make firing Potter for a couple of reasons: 1. They probably are proud people and dont want to admit their mistake just yet 2. Potter hasn't had a full season and getting rid off him now means that their long term project idea wasn't real 3. Who there is available to replace Potter that is a yes man, easy going, experienced and become a success? 4. The cost to fire Potter at this stage and hire a new manager, assistant etc will come at a tremendous cost. In saying that they are business people too and work in finance. At some point you need to cut your losses and accept that you are on a loosing trade. I believe they will give Potter until end of the season and than get a replacement on no longer than a 3 year contract.
