Will Rooney leave Man Utd?
Rooney declares his intention to walk out on United (Guardian) No direct quotes, but if the Guardian are to be believed (and they must be pretty sure as they've got it on the front page of their site) it looks like the beginning of the end of Rooney's time at Old Trafford.

England Squad
The fact that Capello tried and failed to get Heskey out of retirement says all you need to know about his selection policy. The man is a moron who doesn't care about England's future one bit.

Man City v Chelsea (PL) 25/09/10 KO 12:45 BST
Anelka was magic today, every time he got the ball he turned into a City player.

Man City v Chelsea (PL) 25/09/10 KO 12:45 BST
Far too many players didn't perform but Carlo has got to shoulder a lot of the blame for todays performance, because tactically we played straight into City's hands.

Man City v Chelsea (PL) 25/09/10 KO 12:45 BST
F*cking sh*t. If today was our first big test of the season then we failed big time.

Man City v Chelsea (PL) 25/09/10 KO 12:45 BST
Very frustrating first half, it's like we're playing with the handbrake on. Some of the pass selection in the final third was very poor which effected our attacking rhythm.

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals
Indeed. I'll be very disappointed if Kakuta and/or McEachran don't start tonight.

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals
Regarding Jack Wilshere, he does look to be a promising player but I find it so very irritating the amount of hyperbole that gets spewed fourth by the commentators/pundits when he so much as passes a ball more than 10 yards.

Rooney playing away from home
A £1,000 a night!! For that amount of money she definitely saw him coming.

Chelsea V. West Brom (Prem) 14/08/10, 17:30 Ko Bst
A far from thrilling but efficient first half performance. Ferreira needs to buck his ideas up though, time and again Thomas has got the better of him.

Cech, Ferreira, Alex, Terry, Cole, Essien, Mikel, Lampard, Malouda, Anelka, Drogba Subs: Hilario, Ivanovic, Van Aanholt, Zhirkov, Benayoun, Kalou, Sturridge. I'm not happy that Ivanovic is on the bench, the rest of the team is no surprise.

Liverpool sign Joe Cole
Disappointed that he's gone to the Dippers, but I wonder how many people are going to put him in their Fantasy Football team now? I'm certainly considering it.

Where do England go from here?
Capello to remain as England manager – FA confirms (Guardian) I'm not happy with this decision but I'm not surprised the FA have stuck with him as I imagine they can't afford to get rid of him. It will certainly be interesting to see who he picks for the Hungary game.

Yaya Toure
Thought to have cost in the region of £28m!! Manchester City sign midfielder Yaya Toure (BBC) Am I imagining it or has there been much less condemnation of City over their lavish spending compared to what we had to put up with? Or will they have to win something before the knives come out?

Benayoun?
If he does join us I think he'll prove to be a good signing, he's experienced in the league and whenever I've seen him play for Liverpool he's looked one of their most dangerous players. People need to have more faith in Carlo, if he wants Benayoun in the squad I'm sure it's because he thinks he will add something that we are currently missing.

The vuvuzela must be banned
Completely agree, also it's worth noting that this new ball has been used in the Bundesliga since the start of the year, so no wonder the German's looked so comfortable last night. FIFA should have stuck with this classic ball:
