It has to be one of our defenders for me. James, Rudi and Chilwell have been very solid, such a pity about Ben’s injury. Top of the pile is Silva, it’s a dream watching him and how he manages the space around him and he must be a dream to play with.

Assists records in reality are mostly sh*t. Callum cross for Lukaku was a genuine assist. The pen were he was taken down running towards the by- line was an awful tackle by the defender and should be his assist. If who wins the pen gets an assist then the third goal is a Lukaku assist not CHO who passed to him.

Probably half through the second half and he was gone. Seconds to go they let him away with it. Awful decision.

Second match in a row I picked a sub as MOTM.

Agree about point 1. However in the 45 he was on we only delivered a him maybe 4 of the sort of balls he thrives on. He needs crosses to attack and space to run at. In the few moments we used him correctly he scored one, created the CHO chance and the pen. We did an awful lot of f**king about between the half way line and their 18 with no attempt to get the ball into dangerous areas and you could see Rom making wee runs but getting ignored. On Kante coming off I think he picked up an injury. He was met at the sideline by medical staff and in my commentary they said he had an ice pack on his knee.

After that last 5 minutes of play were we f**k about on the edge of the box and not one attempt to get something in is so typical and Lukaku should just take himself off somewhere else.

That’s with we f**king need. Decent crosses into a CF who can head a ball.

We just don’t try to get in behind. Can be very frustrating.

Going rubbish this month myself @Valerie. I did my pick after early in case I forgot in the day which I did. So I had Havertz scoring first goal. I somehow managed to not put a value in for corners so got 3 pts for zero as we only had 2. Managed a big 22 points. Now for the important competition. Villa 0-2 Chelsea mount 36

Did Jordi Alba get any punishment after that. Pisses me off that he purposely knocks into Kounde twice with his shoulder with no attempt to win the ball. He then goes down like a ton of sh*t when a ball glances off his shoulder and face.

Thought he played well and looked like a leader in defence. Have seen his confidence grow since his debut and he has an air of calm around him on the ball. Hopefully he can keep improving and become a Chelsea stalwart in the future.

Don’t often give my vote to a sub who has been on such a short time but Kante won us that match. As soon as he came on the field everything he did was positive and give the whole a lift. Kepa and Chalobah both had strong games.

Rather see scoucers with a couple of extra matches.

Sorry @loz to break it to you this way but you’d have found out, the night didn’t get cancelled. Others, mentioning no names ‘cough’ @Santa ‘cough’ were fed up of you coming with a fiver in your pocket and dipping out early so you could scoff all the vol-au-vents and neck all Glenmorangie. @Valerie was the big winner on the night. She had an unfair advantage, wore a low cut top. I call that cheating. @Liam and his brother were there, brothers mouth still hanging open and hasn’t spoken for 3 days.

I’m not 100% sure how it works but I thought you registered so many 1st team squad at the start of the season and this could be added too depending on circumstances. Also there may well be current training bubble restrictions.

I’d imagine the club is doing a balancing act in that if they register a load of the youngsters then you can field a very weak team if most of your first team is out with Covid. Don’t register and they have to postpone if you can’t put x number of players. Don’t know what the exact rules are as far as numbers go.

Haven’t been able to watch the match and too tired to read through the posts. However I noticed that Kante started and it’s our first clean sheet in a while.

We are getting a bit sad @erskblue. Mounts first chance was on 28 when he side footed with the right when maybe he should have went at it with the left. Had I wee under the breath “f**k sake Mason swing your left peg at it, that was worth 15 points to me.” I did believe at that stage it was only a matter of time before we scored and was thinking I’d probably underestimated with 3-0. 🤦‍♂️

Ploks since you’ve went to the effort of posting the Motm thread it’s only right to vote for BOABB. Mount gets my vote for the goal and some general effort to make things work but that chance in the first half was a terrible miss and cost is tonight.
